  1. Thanks for the info. I was advise to take the north road, the 11 because i was told the south road the 17 has very little fuel stops and no cell phone service for hours and hours. Thats why I planned the north road. Are you saying that the south road isnt that bad? As for a fuel card, the entire trip, fuel, food, lodging will all be credit card.
  2. Was wondering if anyone has driven the TransCanada Highway in Northern Ontario. On May 26 im flying out to London Ontario and picking up a 2003 sterling truck for my employer and my concern is driving an unfamiliar 11 year old vehicle that i dont know the fuel economy on in remote Ontario. Google tells me nothing about where all the fuel stops are and the map looks very baron up there.. The first picture is the route im taking. Originally i was planning on cutting threw the USA but my employer said the insurance company told him we cant take a vehicle in transit into the USA. So question is has anyone driven that road and is there lots of fuel stops for diesel or a lack of them? Or does anyone know of where/how I can find out? The area im concerned about. The truck im picking up..
  3. Yup you sure can. Perfectly legal here in Alberta. Ive had one for years. The theory here is if the cops have the right to speed trap us then we have the right to try and escape the trap.. Saved me loads of cash as i have a heavy foot lol
  4. Lease has got to be the biggest scam going lol. Well in the auto industry anyways..
  5. Very true. Never owned new myself. Just sold my 97 f150 for $3000 and paid $3000 4 years earlier. Was still in mint shape cause i care for my vehicles. Turned around and bought a 2002 Dodge truck. Slowly upgrading is better than buying new. New cars are the worst investment possible, but people still buy new with what has a lot to do with ego/pride, to keep up with the jones so to speak. Need to look good but i myself could care less. As you said, NO payment, Low insurance and can still work on the older ones somewhat..
  6. Ah man, that sucks really bad Merlin.. Sorry for your lose. Wish you and your wife much strength..
  7. Wow nice work Baldie. You can avoid this from happening again by just not showering Thought I would let you know that little secret

  10. Thanks for the tip, i will leave that up to someone else as well lol.
  11. Just not barracuda, the locals are saying it will put you in the hospital, cant eat barracuda..
  12. Not any particular OS, i think just in general. It deleted old registry entries as well as repairs some and thats where sometimes it deleted or repairs a registry entry that it shouldnt. If the program see's certain criteria met, it makes the changes and doesnt always quite distinguish properly what is good or bad or needs or doesnt need fixing. Ive heard people say they havent had issues to but from the issues i have heard and seen, its not worth the risk.
  13. cCleaner is a good program to but can be very dangerous to the novice user. I would never recommend using the registry fix tool on it either. Ive seen it cause more damage than good to the registry..
  14. Went out deep sea fishing here in Cancun today and caught me a 35 inch Barracuda.. Woohoo.... was a fun fight until the fight suddenly ended with the fish breaking its own neck during the struggle to get away..
  15. Congrats, hard work always pays off!!!
  16. Lol Happy Birthday Mule,
  17. Good point Dean, forgot that part.. For malware i scan with 2 programs because they both seem to catch things the other doesnt. I use Malwarebytes and Superantimalware. Both free and i recommend people too use them at least once a month minimum..
  18. Glad it worked for you, I cared so much i typed all that from my hotel room here in Cancun Mexico lol
  19. its been a long time since i used vista, I would start by upgrading to Win7 But if i remember correctly go to start then run and there you need to type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) then hit enter. When the screen pops up under the general tab check the box that says SELECTIVE STARTUP then go too the startup tab and you can pretty much uncheck anything that you dont need running which is pretty close too everything except things like your antivirus. Once done, click APPLY and then close the window. It will prompt you to restart. Do that. If youre unsure of what to uncheck or leave checked take a screen shot of the screen with the start up tab an post it here. I or someone else can walk you through it. Its quite simple. Hope that helps!
  20. Well, this is my first vacation since 1992 and am super excited about it like a kid in a candy store.. Off to Cancun, Mexico in the morning and will be back on the 14th.. I will be especially thinking of all my fellow Canadians in my area still getting snow as we had this past weekend. Off to get drunk and sunburnt and do some fishing in the Gulf of Mexico I will catch you all when I get back or maybe i will post some picks off my iPad while im there.. Chow for now
