That is just it...I love to help folks solve problems as such and in his case he can not currently reinstall (bad disk)...I have taken Cod2 and Cod4 apart enough to know what is and ain't there but not so much with Cod5...Thank you for checking on this yourself because that is awesome and makes it all the more worth the effort when others can give input and help solve the issue...A main reason why I love this family... Thank you to everyone here !

@Labob every time you put a profile name in (any name) and hit next it just loops right back to create a profile name over and over...So I checked his folders and created what I know to be missing except for the Config_mp.cfg which I did not have a copy of one....Some where in my head I seem to remember you have to create a single player profile 1st but his disk is jacked up

He is not using a Steam version at this time...I am not sure about the mpdata file though so might need it...Looks like the mpdata file stores your rank - I googled it Thank you for your help as im not a Cod5 guy...I do have it on my gaming rig which is still put up lol

From what I remember you have to create a profile using single player first before you attempt multi player....I tried to do a manual player folder,profile folder and a active.text with his name...The problem he has it the game is stuck in a "create" a profile loop so Im thinking I/We may be able to drop a config_mp.cfg in there and get it to work so we need a donor config_mp.cfg if someone is willing to upload theirs to us we can try

I am trying top help @Mightymike1 and his game is in a endless create profile loop...I have created the "player" folder and the "profile" folder plus the active.text file with his name in it... Is it possible that someone could give us a copy of their player config_mp and we can change everything around in it...I think that should work ? Thanks in Advance loADER>XI<

Try to create a profile under single player first

The Master Server is tech not supported any longer so it works sometimes....Many of us use HLSW and you can download it from the website here or google it hlsw.org ....If you need any help in setting it up let me know...Do not register it or login...All you do is "always" login off line...If your games are steam versions you will need to copy your steam.dll file and drop it in your HLSW folder (C:\Program Files (x86)HLSW)

Awesome catch...Hurts my head a little because at one time I would tear into that for the restore (done many) but now the hands don't work at all...A very good friend of mine is a collector and I was one of a few that he would let work on them...Do us all a favor and build a time line in photos of the many updates to it and I still wish I could get my hands in there to help

Open your Cod4 folder and search mp.carentan.ff ...Mine is located in the "zone" folder...I would just right click and rename OLDmp.carentan.ff temporary then download... this is the location of mine but I use Steam C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 4\zone\english I attached the one I have to this thread download it and you can put it in there
