The US truckers began their convoy in support of the Canadian Trucker convoy who were protesting Vax Pass to work mandates and Vax Pass mandates to cross the border ... had nothing to do with masks for most of them. Here in Canada we also had the added threat of potentially requiring Vax Pass to cross Provincial borders which thank goodness did not get enacted by our Supreme Leader.

It's a movie by Oliver Stone ... and as such, is very much slanted to the story he wants to tell. However, it will offset some of the propaganda that has been posted here and what we see on our MSM all day long. It can provide some balance to what has been very lopsided reporting on the current Ukraine/Russian conflict. I don't support war ... not one bit. And seeing as the Western Ukraine has so much blood on its hands, both historically and in the modern era, I do not view them simply as innocent victims of Putin aggression. They are willing partners in this war. The innocent are the people who have been shelled by the Ukrainians for 8 yrs AND those seeking to flee the current conflict. The innocent are always caught in the middle when men play at wars. Has always been thus. Right now the only country in the area that I feel I can support (at least today,) is Hungary who has sent record amounts of humanitarian aid and food to Ukraine but has also vowed to not enter the war with arms or troops. The US and EU would do well to follow their lead.

We don't have a free market in the energy sector. Gov's dabble with regulation, taxes and wars ... causing the market to respond downstream. In the long run people will either have to pay more for their goods and services or do without. The supply vs demand model which is called 'free market' no longer has the biggest influence on prices. Current increases in energy prices are not based on scarcity or abundance, but on regulation, governmental interference (sanctions,) and war.

Yup ... and when the Supreme Leader's Carbon Tax is fully implemented by 2030, it will have raised the price per liter by about 37 cents. This does not include the rise in heating oil, electricity or any of the trickle down effects that occur when production costs of everything rises. However, these taxes will for sure stop global warming. So thank goodness for that.

So if we are seeing massive gas price increases all over the world ... even, or maybe I should say especially, in the net producing nations, it would seem we are either at peak oil (which I don't believe) or all the leaders are in on the grift. On top of this, here in Canada, our Supreme Leader will increase 'Carbon Taxes' by another 25% on fuel on April 1st to stop global warming. Taxes and high prices are actually good for us. Right now Canada is working on passing laws to make - Alternative media illegal (C-11) - Precrime or thought-crime illegal (C-36) I'm sure once we have these basic human freedoms removed, it should be much easier to make it a crime to call our supreme leader what he is.

He does not want the whole of the Ukraine. As Tim noted, he's been working on this for years. He believes he is liberating the 'Russian' people in Eastern Ukraine who have been shelled repeatedly by Western Ukraine for 8 yrs now. This accomplishes two things: defends people who believe they are Russian and not Ukrainian ... and gives him the buffer he wants from Western Ukraine and NATO. This is why he recognized the Eastern Provinces as 'break-away' republics, allowing him to move in and 'liberate' them from Western Ukraine. If the west keeps sticking it's nose into their mess, we will end up with WW3. While it's terrible that innocent people are caught in the middle of this struggle for landmass, it won't be solved by the west going in there and dropping bombs.

Not a bad strategy if that is his objective ... He has said repeatedly that he wants is to get NATO away from his back door.

You still have all the Oil in Canada ... and we'd love to sell it to ya! If only there was some safe reliable way to transport it south ... Oh well. I'm sure the 8% you get from Russia will never help fund their war and those tankers never have accidents.

A civilian contractor wandered over and like us he was an Infantry Marine who volunteered for 2 tours in Nam. He didn't say too much about it but when he left he shook each of our hands and said he was grateful for our service and sacrifice. I said we should be thanking him for his service and I remember his choked up response was "Service for what?". 2 trips in Iraq and 6+ years in Afghanistan and after August 15th I know exactly what he meant. Smog shit is coming off ... Gonna straight pipe it and remove the velocity baffles from the intake to get it breathing properly. After that, I won't do much else to the engine. The 460 is pretty much a tank just needs to breath and have regular maintenance. I'm looking for a go anywhere truck that I can repair on the side of the road pretty much anywhere. Swapping out most of the OG parts and will keep them as spares.

Cab corners and rockers will need to be done. Already on order ... will weld them in as soon as they get here. Lots of little stuff to do after that. 460 (7.5L) Fuel injected ... the perfect gasser for this style truck. 5 speed.

My son has been asking for a project to work on ... so I picked up this beast this weekend. Lots of father/son time to be spent getting it road and then off-road ready.
