  2. 2010 accuracy seems good but its obviously not a spray weapon. I like the crosshairs for rds better. Only streak I got, a car, worked ok. No missing streak icons. If streak buttons are assigned, as displayed by the hud, but still dont work try reassigning them. Or if that doesnt work delete your profile. That shouldnt be needed but it cant hurt. couple notes: For game balance, as a counter for its high accuracy, the SMR lower time is noticeably slower than other weapons. So activating a streak for example will take a little longer because it will take a little longer to lower and change to the pad. I was asked about throwing knives. I have the files needed for it, not including the scripting I would have to write up, but it adds some considerable weight to the mod mainly due to all the player animations needed. If enough people would like to change the blue ice color to green or something else post here and I will see what I can do. Lastly.... my aim sucks.

  4. Update: three updated files. modff, w.iwd and i.iwd Hotfixes compiled in. Tho a couple more were just discovered today so there are still a few. BO2 reflex reticle changed to small a small crosshair. streak icons always on. Needs work however for those times when they should be off and then restored. Tell me if there are instances where this should be so. Eventually, when all is working and no problems, when there are no streaks there will be no icon instead of the current 'null' one.
  5. I will be interested to see if this happens to other people. Sometimes it might take a little bit of time for the server and redirect to play nice together. Or for the game to not have a brain fart and get confused.
  6. Update: new w.iwd file. Download worked but after it finished it did it again. Dont know why and checking that out. If it does, rename the old file to w.iwd.old and download it again. Do not leave .iwd at the end as a file type. Main change is a repositioned reflex sight for the SMR. The dot, as before, was already correctly centered. This just makes the attachment model centered and match it correctly.
  7. To help with knowing what streaks you have I could make it, in the future, so that they dont fade out along with the rest of the loadout. In softcore games the loadout is always on anyways so this would be hc only. Eventually I would like it if the 'null' icons are not there but they will remain for the time being during development. Would this help with keeping track of what you have and what keys they are assigned to?
  8. Soon the mod will migrate to the main server and there will be more flexibility with maps. Right now, on the Linux server, map compatibility is low and I cannot test at home since I dont have a Linux box set up with a cod4 server.
  9. Ok I want to reiterate something. Mods like this, and other complex mods, are doing a huge number of things that the original game was not designed to handle. If the engine code and compiler was made available, like developing something with UE4, then the engine itself can be added to. But that is something only in the realm of the developers. So some things may not work right during mod development. Making changes to fix one thing may cause problems with something else unforeseen. Goes with the territory. Therefore I ask for patience. I want things to work. I will also say that often things do work correctly. But maybe not in the way some people want. Some weapons are highly accurate but not so good at spraying. Others are powerful but hard to handle. Not going to get a single weapon that can do it all. Changes and tweaks: Simplified the streak activation. Before it was trying to be as accurate as possible because different weapons have different lower times. This is possibly not working in all cases. So instead there is only a single wait time of a 1 second drop for all weapons to start. This is unrelated to the animations and only related to activating streaks. Just a common scripted delay. Since some weapons are much faster than that this 1 second might be over when the pad or phone is 1/2 way raised. At this time it will check your current weapon and see if you are holding a valid item or if you did a quick change. If no change, proceed. If a different item, exit. General testing at home I saw no problems but I didnt test every weapon. I also didnt get a chance for extensive quick-cycling or button mashing tests. So bear with me and if this problem still occurs remember what the weapon was, what you were trying to activate, and what you did so I can check it out. Sped up the activation times a bit for the car, predator, sentrygun. Because previously you 'held' the sentry as a special weapon there were extra checks needed. Now since they are standard streak weapons those checks are not needed and there is no need to wait for them to complete. This is another change that needs good testing. Defrosting armor bonus turned off. Various minor bug fixes.
  10. Yes, see the other thread. It would help if you can tell me what weapon you were holding when trying to use a streak that kept cancelling. And which streak. As for the smr not working... seems to be the most popular gun and lots of kills made with it. But it is not designed for spraying. If you want to spray get the hk416 or an mp5. Choose the right weapon for the right job.
  11. The defroster armor is enabled? I didnt know that. edit: Next time the server is empty and can take it offline for a little while I will make config changes to scores and go through others.
  12. Somewhere its a timing problem and I really need to know the weapons being used at the time where its failing. The 308 is working at home tho with all three types of streaks so its weird. But I didnt try it with silencer. Maybe that one is a little different for some reason. Oh as for bunny hopping not working, today I get pegged plenty of times by them.
  13. Looked at two or three options. That idea or also a popup menu. Having three separate buttons seemed to be the fastest way and visually is easier to see what you have so you can quickly choose the order you want.
  14. Read me: If your streaks look like they are cancelling please tell me what streaks and also what your weapon was at the time. Including what attachment. If it doesnt work, switch to your pistol and try it.
  15. Ok. The only error was an undefined variable for uav smoke but that wouldnt cause a lag. Thus far, would everyone say the 'server time played' messages are correct for different players? If so I will shut off the message.
  16. Do you recall if, at the time, someone had a UAV up? Maybe it got shot down or something? It was the only error.
  17. The dot on the 2010 is slightly high compared to center. See my previous posts on the subject.

  19. I'm still working on timing but the ipad starts fading to black relatively quick before it finishes raising. I would like to made the fadeout-fadein itself faster but game limitations force a minimum amount of time to set things up while the screen is black. Or it wont look good. But even as-is, it is a lot better than the laptop was. Armor should be fixed and offer 1/2 protection against explosives. But I will look again. The smaw does have a small blast radius compared to an rpg. The drawback for having a fast rocket with high accuracy and can track enemies. However the max inner damage is the same as the rpg max damage. Personally I prefer the small warhead. Too often the rpg hits a wall or something. As for hating it, well, thats all fine and good but its a lot more fair than juggy. Perhaps I should put that back and let people see how unfair it was. I have to look at the scoring set up for the other server. I havent had time to look. As for the SMR... it is a very accurate weapon. If you aim with the dot. I changed the animations here that the reflex ads uses and the attachment seems to be better positioned relative to the dot. I was working on the 2010 today but something is wrong and the model export is not showing the dot. I dont know why yet.
  20. I will have to see what works. Unfortunately the server it is on currently is Linux based and it is much more finicky about what maps it will allow compared to windows. Cant really tell by testing on a windows server at home what will and what wont. But... if people think the mod is ok then I can set it up on the main server in the next couple days.
  21. I couldnt do a damn thing with the hit boxes even if I wanted to. You can thank hackers before the patches that hard coded them into the engine. So I cannot make a 1/2 size player with a 1/2 size hitbox. The saritch dot is correct but the attachment model itself is off. It will hit what the dot is on. The dot is bigger than the usual solid cod4 one and I am considering switching back to the original. As for bunny hoppers, well, I hate bunny hoppers. But I didnt do anything to screw with it.
  22. That would always help. A note about smaw. Lockon time, if the target is within the cone from the player eye, is two seconds. It also accounts for the percentage of the entity you can actually see. Which is %90. To lock onto a player the high percentage is there because it should be significantly harder to shoot at a player than a helicopter because of the smaller size. Even so, due to the accuracy of the missile, shooting it without lockon is pretty deadly. Since adding this one I have come to hate RPGs at anything other than close distances or wide open areas.
  23. Played a couple rounds and I saw players get several cars, a cp, an airstrike, predator and a sentrygun. So the ipad, cellphone, and marker. Dunno what the primaries were but seems to work ok. However plz keep an eye out for it cancelling again and what the specific weapon you were holding was that it keeps going back to. Thx.
  24. Do you know what weapons you were holding at the time when trying to activate? Sounds like a timing issue. Made a small timing tweak for how long it waits for assault rifle weapon changes and restarted the server. Its another one of those 'workarounds' where I have to manually do procedures that wait for animations and weapon switches. Normally the game handles that but it doesnt work with all the custom buttons. The 'follow me' type of menus also have manual waits and such to prevent button mashing.
