  1. These days? Where they track everything we say and do? Sure. Especially since bitcoin is computer based to begin with and they can get into anything. Who knows maybe they wont arrest you or tax you. Maybe they will just take it.
  2. Eventually this mod will move there anyways. Soon as the kinks are worked out. Upped the gas damage and restarted server. You will also see a message when you die or respawn telling you how long you have played this mod+foldername. Hopefully everyone should be different and it will tell me if its keeping track properly. Only bug in the log was a minor one about hacker and a frozen player.
  3. A lot of people thought bitcoin would be good because it could be used to avoid taxes and such that goes with currency. But not anymore. Its not currency but it is property and therefore taxable.
  4. Pretty sure pb is on for the other servers and this one should be no different. Strange. But yea doing pb manually is a snap.
  5. Yea I know the gas isnt quite powerful enough. Will fix tomorrow. Currently on my laptop checking stuff before I call it a night. For slow, I assume you mean the cellphone and should be exactly the same as the sentrygun and all other cellphone based streaks. Is this one taking longer than say the one that activates the uav? I will have to check it out tomorrow. Dropping it on defrost sounds strange. I assume that is what you mean. In those instance were you killed in the process of activating one first?

  8. Wow. I uploaded a hotfix, which will take effect next restart, that will show when anyone has died how long he has played this particular mod. WIll say "1 hour 26 minutes" or something like that. But... there are currently 13 players on it so will I restart later. Thank you all for playing and seeing how it all works.
  9. Configs are a work in progress. Shouldnt be auto defrost anymore and forced start spawns. Tried it earlier and seemed to be ok. Not sure about total rounds. No change in gravity. Tried everything I could think of to get the timer thing to work. I asked in the OW forums to see if anyone has any ideas. If not, the only other setting that might be something to use is total time spent on the server with that specific mod and folder name. Its not the same numbers as the gametracker totals. So if you delete your profile it resets to zero. Example: if someone has already been on for 3 hours, but a joining player has more time over the course of a month or whatever, then he is redirected. In a sense the joining player is more of a regular than the other. Clan members are exempt as always. Dunno if that would be 'fair' but might be better than what is there now. Unless you are the one that is redirected.
  10. Grrr. The timer didnt work on map rotation. Keeps it on round changes tho... I think. It was hard to tell. Seemed to work at home.
  11. Can you be more specific about the heli? Which one and what did it do? The autodefrost was something I did for testing so I would defrost. Must not have no changed it back. What are the usual number of max rounds? edit: There should have been 'time played' messages after you die, in seconds. Did they look accurate and maintain their values between round and map changes? Everyone's amount should be unique depending on when they joined. config changes made and server restarted.
  12. Update: For testers, added a function that hopefully will keep track of total time per-player. Server start/restart begins at zero. Map/round rotation should not reset timer. You start at zero from the time you join. It will reset if you leave. For now a debug message will print when you are frozen telling you how long in seconds. It should not count spectators. Only if you are on a team. So plz test for that. If this works it will be applied to redirect checks later on. Thx.
  13. And there is the point. Different people have different opinions and there is no right or wrong. But it does mean having to make choices. As always those choices are going to make some people unhappy. In any case I am of the generation that believes nothing will ever replace having good admins making such decisions. No code or system will ever come close and it is better to leave judgement calls to them.
  14. We tried the weighted stuff also. But then the question becomes what is more important than what. Is time played more important than score? The same? Should people that snipe with a G3 style weapon or an M16 be considered snipers? Should range be a factor so short to medium distance sniper shots are counted as an assault rifle? How about people with an M40 that run around quick scoping everybody? All totally subjective and whatever weighted balance I figure out people are going to be happy or unhappy and then complain about it. Not going to do that again.
  15. Cant be unfair to snipers that dont move much. Or give advantages to those that do nothing but run and gun spraying everything in sight. Or be unfair to people that get frozen all the time. Also, if one side is dominating... given equal number of kills/deaths... then they have to run much farther to get to the action. Had the same problem with score based checks. Teams dominating the other, continually spawn killing, will rack up the points quickly. Only fair thing to do in freezetag with forced start spawns was time played and nothing else. But map rotation screwed with that.
  16. Hotfix: boom told me about instances where streak icons are disappearing on defrosts but the streaks themselves are still there. Not sure why that is happening but made a small change where instead of a blank icon if you dont have one for that slot it will show the 'null' icon. So there should always be something there (not including loadout fadeout) and not just blank. If you get 'null' even tho a streak exists then that will hopefully help me narrow down the problem. Tests seem to work. This applies to streak 1-3. The tac nuke and special weapon icons works differently and may or may not have a problem. Only way to tell is for someone to get them but not use it until you die/defrost a couple times. Or for the special weapons to activate it but not use it up. edit: The Saritech RDS attachment model is too low. But the dot itself is correct and centered, not counting sway. So I have to reposition the attachment while keeping the dot in the same position. In the meantime use the dot to aim and ignore the surrounding model. edit: yea minor bug with tac nuke icon. When you use it the icon is still there. But since using it ends the match anyways its not pressing atm to fix it.
  17. Wish the game did ping checks during a match. Only PB can do that with lost packets or things like that. PB does not count people downloading, who are 999, unless the download itself times out.
  18. I apologize for that. Unfortunately the biggest problem with redirects like this is how the game resets things in between map rotations. Many things start off at 0 again. Round changes are ok tho. This can certainly cause some unfair calculations on who to boot. There might be a way around this and I am testing it out for beta 4 to see if it works and retains a couple data types. However in the end the only way to be sure is when its online on a consistently full server. One or two mod problems that are real head scratchers to figure out first.
  19. Cant take em for granted tho. Lots of shoulder fired missiles in the world.
  20. Maybe 6 points. So on the 5th hit (30 points @ 5 seconds) you are dead. Barring armor. If I set to 5 then it would take 6 hits. Depends how quickly you can get out if it explodes at your feet. It must allow for you to leave the area but still kill if you dont.
  21. Hardwired should be fixed. No messages will be displayed for now.
  22. Well, the gas is supposed to kill you if it explodes at your feet and you dont leave. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Nova_Gas The 13 damage per second as the default is taken directly from that.
  23. Issues being worked on: Forgot to disable, since it was meant to be for testing, but smaw will lock onto players if in reticle for 4-5 seconds. The rocket will track. Accurate but tends to hit small hills. I will leave it on for now but dont know yet if it will be in the final release. I like it but not sure if its fair. Hardwired not working correctly against enemy emp. Message doesnt disappear until respawn. Still seems to be an issue of earned streaks not always showing up on hud. But they still work. If able, plz see if there is a problem activating the stealth heli when you get it but before you die. Note that some maps dont have heli support. In which case you will see a msg. Thx all for testing.
  24. Copied over config settings from the other server. Seemed that was the one people were the most happy with. On that server how many pulses did it take to kill?
