Likely Amazon and Newegg are going to sue nvidia or reach some kind of settlement. Havent bought an nvidia card since an 8600 and not going to. Too many shenanigans at that company over the years. My guess, its one of the reasons Xbox now uses AMD. I dont know the numbers for nvidia based xbox repairs but I suspect video card replacements are high on the list.

When I hear things like game accounts being hacked by those sneaky Russians, well, I tend to think twice.

I wouldnt trust them with that info either. In any case there is a gamestop here and I can pick up steam cards there I think with cash.

Steam has some great sales but I will never trust them with my credit card. Too many hackers that steal such information going around. Same goes for Origin/EA and hackers constantly stealing accounts. And they were supposed to be convenient and secure replacements for retail disk sales.

If its a new map that you are downloading then this is normal. Happens alot with big mods.

Ah thats good. Then they are set up to deal with this kind of thing quickly. Looks good on them for dealing with hackers and thieves. One day I would think there would be secondary authentication like MAC address checks from the computer being logged in from.

6-8 beers a day? Damn. 1/2 a beer before dinner and I can feel the effects. Not a weed smoker tho. Nor tobacco. In any case, yea if a kid smoked weed at 13 then there is a much bigger problem. Maybe this kid also did meth or some other hard drug but the 'researchers' dont know about it because he wont say.

I thought for pwd changes it is sent to the email you gave when registering. The email has a temp one that requires you to go to a page and change. Unless I suppose someone got it, changed that email address, and so confirmations were sent there instead. But that would be the first thing an unauthorized person would do so the real owner wouldnt know about it. And Origin or whatever would simply think the owner changed emails.

Could also be program or driver conflicts. ms security essentials and other malware programs might not play nice with each other. So took those out to see if the lockup/reboot problem stops. Could also be dust build up. There is a lot of it and it wouldnt surprise me if the gpu has a carpet of dust again.
