This is what would happen. Their side camps, or simply holds their position if that is a preferable way to put it. Your side pushes. You will lose tickets faster than they do. When you dont have that many left then you hold. Their side has the choice between doing nothing, guaranteeing a win, or pushing to wipe you out. In which case it would be their turn to start losing tickets faster. It needs an objective or incentive to push then capture and hold so that one way or another both sides can lose tickets.
