  1. Yea I heard about that one a few days ago. Pretty bad. Comcast is apologizing all over the place for it. As for TW, I didnt think the SEC approved that. Or at least not yet.
  2. Time played only. It used to include other things but after discussions it was decided to remove all the extras because it was obviously subjective to what a person thinks is more important. Score or time played and what weight ratio for each. As for spectators what is more important? Someone who played 20 minutes in the map (all rounds combined) but might be specing at time? Maybe to get some food or take a quick break. Or someone who played for 5 minutes but is not specing? When specing time played doesnt increase. Tweaked all the extra stuff and their weights many times but change things one way some were happy and others were less happy. Tweaked it again, and again, and again. Not going to fall into that trap again.
  3. How fast you are depends on your loadout. Lightweight and specops are obviously the fastest. Heavy gunners are obviously the slowest. So maybe on round start choose that class for your first spawn so you can rush fast. Class choices shouldnt be the same one every time. With 2 of each class preset each one up based on the map and what you want to do. Small urban? Start with specops or shotty. Midsize and open? Maybe start with assault or lmg then let those rushers come to you and pick them off. Maybe work together and everyone get betties for first spawn. Blanket your side with them and wait. A very good start if the other team is full of fast rushers without a brain.
  4. 20 kills. The likely reason it happened more often in the past was because it was a care package award. Everyone... except those that got it... considered that too easy for a low streak (especially with Hardline) so it was moved into the higher package. For awhile it was part of the normal streak loadout. So you had to choose it to get it. But that wasnt exactly fair so it was made into a 'free' 4th streak.
  5. Money talks. You can blow this up or blow that up. Cut off their money and they tend to respond. Economic sanction is a pussy phrase. Economic domination is much better.
  6. The king of fishes?
  7. I suppose in that case all you can do is maybe join as a non XI member with a rotating name, spec and record whoever looks questionable. Dont let anyone know who you are. Including other XI members. Except in TS. The reason being so you dont print or say anything that can give a clue to who you are.
  8. If it were up to me teabaggers would get it in the ass. Forget the face.
  9. Dont disrespect the Tooth Fairy. She can be mighty bitchy and mean. Anyways this wouldnt be the first time one of the major powers in the world put advanced weapons into the hands of people that shouldnt be allowed anywhere near them. But it still raises the question. Why this time and not last week? What was different? Why not any of the commercial airplanes flying into Kiev every day? Something changed. The question is what.
  10. Maybe they had a 'shift change' so to speak and whoever took control, after all those earlier flights, was itching to shoot something down so he could say he blew up the big bad Ukrainians. However the recorders could be useful in helping recreate exactly what happened. Maybe up until last week the Russians were in control as the ones training the rebels how to use the equipment. Then they left. You can be sure these 'advisers' were professionals and knew to be sure of their targets before firing. Maybe they used the commercial traffic as test targets for training. Wouldnt surprise me if some of the rebel crews that took over had never even seen a SAM before last month.
  11. The Russians have already said if it got the recorders they would be turned over to the lead investigators. Considering it was the rebels that did it turning them over would be in the Russians best interests to remove any doubts that they were involved.
  12. imo, just as a 3rd party, its not enough to say hacking for the events mentioned above. I see a good amount of corner checking when going through doors and such. A common practice. Except for a few times nobody was there. Could be checking for campers roasting weenies... and there are many here... or simply keeping in mind that corners are common spots for defrosters to be if you know a frozen enemy is near. There were a few times where I said to myself 'hmmm' why do that? Also, its so noisy with all the explosions I cant imagine that footsteps would have been a factor. However maybe eavesdrop? If I had that in my loadout I wouldnt tell my enemies.
  13. FF is on for nukes. That is how it kills everybody. But penalties are not applied.
  14. Yea it got posted as I was writing. All I can think is that the Russians took a huge gamble in training the rebels how to use them but without providing centralized air control. Hoping that they knew what they were shooting it. I suppose they thought they were shooting at another transport and since the world didnt really care about it the first time, do it again.
  15. Certainly looks like a huge engine fire but the plane was still in control. More than likely one of the fuel tanks were ignited after that and it exploded considering the wreckage is that widespread.
  16. Conspiracy theorists unite. This is actually the missing plane, they will say. But then the question will be what happened to the one that took off from Amsterdam. Another mystery.
  17. Interesting points. I dont know how FF should be made to work in ftag in terms of freezing or spawning. My guess is that it would have to be reflective, meaning only the shooter gets the damage. But since FF has not been extensively tested in anything but standard games it could do with some discussions how it should work elsewhere.
  18. As often happens people dont change unless something bad takes place. But yea I guess they put too much trust in those in possession of those launchers. "They" being all the airlines since MAL wasnt the only one that flew over that country on a routine basis.
  19. Maybe it just means their hacks are better than your hacks.
  20. Ah ok I didnt know that. Yea that leaves xfire, obs or something like that. I guess for quick 3-4 minute vids to upload xfire is best.
  21. Well now they confirm it was a missile and have some kind of tracking data for it. They wont say where it came from but likely know that also. Or at least a very good idea.
  22. console then enter /record filename. Then /stoprecord to stop it. At least its that way in cod4 and I assume in cod5. Later you can play it back and record with fraps or one of the other screen capture programs.
  23. Hmm, well if this is so and the rebels do have such weapons then its likely they did it. Itchy trigger fingers and not making sure of their targets. Kind of hard to do when you dont have centralized air trafffic systems to know what is what.
  24. Yup. Saw this yesterday and while legally it probably wont go very far it does show that the industry might need to be a bit more proactive in how it handles using real people for purely fictional stories that are not based on historical events. Unless it is an obvious parody, such as a pothead Bush in Harold and Kumar, or something like JFK fighting zombies. The more money you make the more careful you have to be.
