The couple financial sites I go to already have the multiple pwd system with challenges so those are safe. I would think all major sites, like Amazon, would use this but they dont.

Yes it is. Last week or so been transferring the various script fixes to the update and testing things out. Also need to finish up other things like care package unlocking. When its ready to go the main server will use it occasionally so people can play it and see if any potential problems are spotted. I havent used AVG for years and dont know if that is why you are getting all the popups. Get Avast for AV. Free but you need to register each year. Mallwarebytes Anti-mallware and Spybot Search and Destroy for mallware and similar things.

Liquid cooling on paper sounds great but I have read too many horror stories about leaks and the damage they cause. For me to be comfortable with one it would need a way to guarantee %100 that this wouldnt happen and splash coolant all over the place. Both inside the computer and leaking out onto the carpet.

Yup get a case with a big fan on the side. Also one with cable management on the back of the mb. This mine and I like it. I didnt notice at the time but the side with the fan is indented in the middle a little bit as tho it got hit with something. Because of where it is I thought it was just part of the design and it doesnt look unsightly so it wasnt worth the hassle of returning. If the card is getting flaky perhaps its getting too hot. If so open it up and check the vents and heat sink for dust carpets.

Fuck fuck fuck........... Trying to transfer some stuff from DVD to my computer and I guess they degraded on me with parts unreadable. Makes me mad because they are supposed to be a good brand, fuji I think, and not really that old. Maybe 3-4 years. Also they were well taken care off in a dvd binder, hardly ever used, and never exposed to sunlight. The ones that didnt work so far are no big loss since they were some anime videos I wanted to watch but it bugs me that I was so careful and they dont work anymore. However some important stuff did use the same batch of dvds and I am going to have to find them all and transfer them while I still can. I guess the only semi-reliable long term storage is an hdd kept in a safe place. I have some even older cdrs, 10+ years, that still work fine. Those arent important either but I keep them anyways as backups. Going to keep these anyways because it is always possible, though very unlikely, that another reader might be able to retrieve the data.

I dont have one yet but consider a bluray combo drive. I dont know if they are really worth it but they are not all that much more than cd/dvd. Maybe someone that has one can say whether or not they are a benefit. Not quite sure how much the discs are.
