  1. An aire and a spare... as the old cliche goes. No comment re: Mel.
  2. Actually I am sure its fine. I just dont like mods that automatically install stuff where it shouldnt be. Or replace any of the stock files. https://iceops.in/index.php/Board/38-CoD4X/?s=bbd6d6b78b748b283195f7941331016a4038523f
  3. Based on the server info it seems to be codx, which is a linux server addition meant to overcome various game limitations and also other things. To work, no PB. It also downloads a file to your main cod folder, not just the mod. Since this file is not open source there has been some question of what it is and what it can do. So go there at your own risk.
  4. No its not. The subscription thing you might be talking about is for developers and the UE4 engine. However beyond that the base game will be free. The rest of it, community made, is up to them whether or not to charge for it or make it free. But if they do then Epic gets a cut.
  5. Yea I saw this yesterday. Gotta keep in mind that this is being promoted by a company trying to sell you its products.
  6. Ugh. Almost spit out my coffee.
  7. This is a four month old thread. Let it die in peace.
  8. Best wishes to the family.
  9. Check these out for OBS. They might help. https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/recording-gameplay-for-youtube.12033/ I follow the first one and the final quality before editing or uploading is good for typical footage. Dunno about stuff with lots of grass like Crysis. Two and a half hours will require a huge amount of space however. As all DV sized stuff will.
  10. Mb not MB. Assuming that wasnt a typo. However even with that it would still be getting close to one GB. There could also have been some real-time compression and not a dump of raw video.

    35mm

Anyways, after thinking a lot more about it in the long run going all digital is just the best way to do it.That will mean saving some funds. Especially these days since unless prints are going to be entirely outside the realm of digital processing there really isnt much of a benefit. I suppose you really have to love film photography, or do the large format stuff, to go that far where you need a dedicated and expensive setup to do it all. thx. There was a story not too long ago about Kodak getting out of the film business for movie making. It was just too expensive and there wasnt enough of a demand for it. Some big names in Hollywood that still shoot on film however went to the studios and insisted that they do what it takes to keep Kodak in.
  12. Been there, done that. It wont matter. People want to go where the crowd is. If they get redirected to a server that is empty, or nearly empty, they go elsewhere.
  13. You know the old saying about how everyone loves the smell of their own farts? Something you want to tell us? On second thought... no dont tell us.
  14. Interestingly enough a lot of sniper rifle silenced wavs from bo+ and ghosts are more like the second one. A loud pop at the beginning but after that more muted than the regular fire sounds.
  15. Did he tell you what the message was?
  16. A fun gametype based on a Japanese book and movie of the same name. One of those interesting turnarounds where a cute little schoolgirl can be a ruthless killer.
  17. Been looking at that one also to see how the development process is going to work.
  18. Heh. I'm a little dyslexic but I have no problem walking into a bra. Depending on who is wearing it.

    35mm

I have an Epson scanner that can do both negatives and positives (slides). Bought it a couple years ago to scan some old negatives and slides I had stored. Certainly not professional quality but pretty good for general use.
  20. Here are two silenced sniper rifle file sounds. Which is more authentic? Never fired a real one so I have no idea. One sound is from BO the other Ghost. http://www.mediafire.com/listen/drl9y898a8x5ajr/weap_snipersilenced1.wav http://www.mediafire.com/listen/tzgyclmhqntdv2q/weap_snipersilenced2.wav When doing updates and swapping out models and such one of the most important things to do is make sure the modff file doesnt get any bigger. Smaller is better but no bigger is a minimum. Weapon sounds (fire/reload/etc) is the single greatest item in the file especially the higher quality stuff. Lots can be streamed from IWD... like dialogs and explosions... but player weapons cannot. So any time a common sound can be used for multiple weapons it helps. A basic sound can have its volume and pitch adjusted. A heavier sniper rifle could be louder and have a lower pitch to suggest a bigger weapon. Things like that.

    35mm

Anybody ever develop their own 35mm film cartridges? Not make the prints just develop the film strips themselves for later use. Thinking about undusting my ol Nikon and taking some pictures with it. But the cost of sending it out to a decent place to get anything developed is just too much and reading things it seems pretty straight forward. I would scan the negatives for prints.
  22. Yea looks like an HTML email with embedded images.
  23. I would think the article would have had photos of the porn queens themselves.
  24. I guess just so long as you dont up the ante to car windshields. Then that becomes property damage.
  25. Happy birthday.
