  2. Mod setting added for RC jump/mantle/ladder. Can be enabled for those that want it. Predator should be ok but damage was changed a bit to take into account players hiding behind walls and such. It is a 5-kill so it shouldnt be too powerful. I will look at cuav. Working to get the update done as soon as I can but its a very nice day out right now and some outdoors things I gotta do.
  3. emp nades will disable the enemy hud and has the same range as a flashbang. Also the whole screen becomes grainy. There is also a timer on the top with a default of 30 seconds. Ambient emp affects everybody and has a 20 second timer. The viusual queue is a nuke exploding high above the map. If you see a scrambled minimap then that is either counteruav or you got hit by a tactical or mininuke.
  4. Well TBO the earlier version I was sometimes told hitboxes were 'too small' or missed registration alot. So it's really a matter of perspective.
  5. Ok that is interesting. Grange is partially a map problem, so to speak. Not really a problem but some mappers build weapon pickups into their maps. So if a mod uses the weapon file associated with them and changes things it can sometimes cause problems. Previous versions of OW2 didnt use the file but now does for a couple things. Thus causes a compatibility problem. The screenshot shows the pickup in the map. Its on top of one of the buildings. So to get that map to work requires deleting them before it finishes loading. I suspect the other maps with that error have the same thing. I am pretty sure the server can add the extra requirement to delete them without too much trouble if everyone wants to keep that map.
  6. For now remove the maps with the 'index' issue from the rotation plz until I can figure that out. Not sure what you mean about hitbox. That is entirely game controlled and only modifiers for how much actual damage is done to specific areas (head, leg, torso etc) can be changed. Not whether or not something actualy hit. I'll add Chinalake to the list of 'delayed' weapons but currently recovering from Cinco de Mayo magaritas. Ugh.
  7. Abient weapons will kill players on both teams and mininukes have the same radiation effects as the tacnuke. But not as long and not as deadly. However since this is a HC server more or less perhaps radiation damage needs to be tweaked. But before making a lot of changes we shall see how the next release works. Oh... because I tend to get alot of death streaks I added some simple death streak bonuses. Nothing like dead mans hand etc. I hate those ideas. But juiced, hollow points or a little bit of armor etc for a little help. One evening I said 'enough of this shit' and started coding.
  8. lol. Everybody? No there isnt a non-player tactical nuke strike. But there is a mininuke ambient. Along with mortars, airstrikes, B2, c-uav, emp etc. However its only 1/2 as powerful as the player one and does not end the game unless the players it does get are the last ones unfrozen. Ambient weapons can be shut off by the server if desired but to me its a fun monkey wrench to throw into the game for those "oh shit" moments. As for pistols, they shouldnt be overpowered and really no different than the guns they replace. Different weapons but same balance. I made the Glock a three-shot for testing but I dont remember if this beta has that or I removed it. However, which ones would you say are unbalanced? I will double check those.
  9. Working on some last minute stuff and what are you opinions on kill requirements for streaks? No major changes but maybe some tweaks so people choose something more than RC and artillery all the time.
  10. Has anyone played the ghost city map on another server? Are there any weapon pickups anywhere? Things like ambient helis etc? My guess is that the map is looking for a model in a stock weapon that has been customized for the mod. Dont know which yet but it is a compatibility problem that happens from time to time with a lot of mods. Edit: Ok yea read around a few places. There must be weapon pickups in a secret place. For maps like that the only option is to alter a script for the map that deletes all weapons in it. Considering how many maps are out there it might be more problem than its worth.
  11. I would take those maps out for now. For the checksum at the end of a round I think its because there are too many iwds in the mod but it also depends on the map. The solution would be to limit it to three. But that would make for bigger server files to down. The other one might be related to that as well. Working on the next release with additions and fixes as we speak. Will test out both maps again. I figure the best thing to do this time is make three iwds, for a total of 4 files in the mod. For now delete everything in the mod folder and download again.

  13. Thx. It's very difficult to spot potential problems if nobody ever plays it. Also helps alot if a server is full and players experiment with different things and not just run around with an mp5 and use RC's all day. ;-)
  14. About a player tag missing or something like that? That is a problem with the map not having full heli support. So using the minigunner, overwatch and possibly the care package will cause a crash. Addressed in the next beta to compensate on such maps so they wont be awarded if in the loadout and the player will be notified so he can change the streak in the loadout. If you know the mapname let me know so I can test it.

  16. Still not enough to say 'buy me'. There are other zombie games where that is their primary purpose. Not an addon. I would have played the BO zombies more but the game itself is so clunky I uninstalled it and stuck with cod5. And I havent even gotten around to any custom zombie maps. But when it comes to cod games I pick nits on absolutely everything. If I ever got hired by Treyarch they would all hate me.

  18. Looks really cool and a slightly futuristic cod could be a nice change. But I'm not going to preorder it and at the earliest wont buy it until a month after it comes out. If MP sucks Im not going to bother. Otherwise it wont last 6 months. On PC anyways. Only preordered BO because of the promised mod tools. Wont make that mistake again until I see them. edit: and I just got an email from Amazon wanting me to predorder for 60 bucks. No thanks. Their incentive? A wallpaper! Whee!
  19. A macro like that wouldnt work since the internal timers for the G3 needs 0.07 seconds per round, so a max of 15, before it will fire another. Any commands received faster than that are ignored.
  20. Yup mouse wheel. Seen it done quite a bit and while not a hack or a cheat its kinda pointless. Yes the main reason why G3 is more accurate is because you cant go rock and roll with it. Most settings are no different than an M4. G3 has about %20 more view kick (same gun kick), takes almost another second to reload, and has a slightly slower fire rate even with the scroll wheel trick. So if you want full auto you are better off with an M4. The one benefit is that it can function as a fire rate selector of sorts. Press fire for single shot. Do the wheel for full auto. There is also the intangible of which gun a player "likes" more and there is no way to measure that.
  21. That is true. When sniping I tend to look for enemy snipers hiding in buildings or behind a hill and such. Unless there is a good target of opportunity behind a tree or something. Rushers I tend to avoid. Partially because my skills need a lot of improvement. But also because they are better handled by my own teams rushers. So it all depends.

  23. Testing out Boomer's Hidden Valley map I had to fix a mod problem related to ac130 flyover height due to the skybox size of the map. Little bug I missed for calculating map height. To get it to work the drop had to take place really low and it looks pretty cool. The B2 strike had to be lower than usual as well and seeing this big black wing overhead could be menacing. Should this kind of height be a default? Link to ac130 vid:
  24. Make sure the skybox is high and wide enough for the various player air support. Otherwise ac130 wont work for example. If you can get away with making the terrain bigger it would look better from the sky. But I dont know how that would hurt performance.
  25. Actually a good ol TDM match is always cool but the ones that are populated at the time of night I play always seem to be full of dumbasses and cheaters.
