  1. After running it through cod4x looks like the mod + flemishtown is over budget by somewhere between 10 and 20 image files. edit: Seems there is some wiggle room, so to speak, and with some work could get it under budget.

  3. Yes there is a default setting for all maps unless changed by map specific values.

  7. Now that the new mod is almost ready to go... a couple more things to do... its time to start thinking about the settings. First is how many total rounds. Currently its best of 5. Should it be best of 9.
  8. Server is online. As always a WIP and still a few things to check out. But hopefully nothing big enough to cause a crash.
  9. After playing the mod with the different settings, which is better for default? Best of 9 rounds? Or best of 5?
  10. Also, when you say last stand isnt working what does that mean? Otherwise thats like telling your husband... or wife ... that the car doesnt work.

Uploading sometime later today or tonight and a couple replacement files to download Fixes (as alway needs to be tested by actual matches): The worst problem causing crashes does seems to be the ak74u, as shown above. Many thanks to Turk for recording and showing it happen and J3st3r for confirming it. When they can be consistently reproduced it greatly helps tracking them down and squashing them dead. There was another major issue, but not a bug, that might be related to above causing both mod code and original game code to fail at certain points checking for death, which is kind of generic not just being shot. It was as though the player in question was no longer there but wasnt by a normal disconnection. EoG player stats should be working. If you are poisoned, streaks like the RC and Predator are unavailable until you heal yourself. Otherwise you may die while using your streak and lose it. Normally, you lower your player weapon to heal but that isnt available in this case so this is to prevent that situation. Streaks like the airstrike you can cancel to lower the pad to heal so this does not apply in those cases. Mininuke available in streaks. FN57 seen from other players fixed. (no big red FX). Other notes: Going through map compatibility. Considering all the nice looking weapons and hud elements there are too many total images on a few already borderline maps working in 146 that use a large number of them. I dont know yet how many are in current rotations but so far only one seems to be affected in the ones gone through.
  12. I second The Mandalorian. Its Star Wars to be sure but a different feel to it. Shame there werent more of them in the first season but you can tell its a very expensive show to make even these days.
  13. For the ak74 issue, do you recall if the current map was lapatrouille? Or if it was the one previously played? edit: as for the FN57 yes I see where the problem was. Wasnt the skin. The wrong world model was being referenced. The bane of game development is always those little things that get missed.

  15. Interesting. So this never happens with any other weapon doing the same thing? Just that one?
  16. Changed gametype to tdm. This crashing is strange and its to help narrow down to whether its freezetag related. I think tdm was running for several days without this issue. Is this correct? Previously, a much bigger version of this one was running under cod4x and it did a lot. It also had a few problems at the time. Also, two main issues is that there is no Mac/OSX support and also there were issues, cod4x related likely, where player guided weapons like the reaper would no longer work correctly. But it did overcome a lot of problems related to map compatibility and asset limits.
  17. I see where something happened at that point it looks like. Its reading like some player was 'removed' from the server, like he was 'deleted', not just disconnected normally. Off topic, but do you know how many people here play the game on a Mac and do not have a PC version available?
  18. Emp nades for defrosting are distance based. Works the same as explosives, nades or stun etc. Working the proper balance based on gameplay. other than the points, no other issues with the crossbow defrosting?
  19. So thus far, except for the occasional bugs, settings, or other fixes all looks pretty stable? The end-of-game scores do not work because its going to be keeping track of real time data in a different way so it doesnt have to constantly keep setting player dvars. Just once when the match is over. All these little things everywhere for efficiency hopefully add up.
  20. Yea still working on the stats part. edit: I see where the bug is for the mininuke choice. Will be working on more things this evening.
  21. New files uploaded for mod.ff and iwds. A few weapon and bug fixes. Restored a couple missing hud elements. FF is off... for now. There is something to be said for FF penalties however it should be fair and not aggravating. Especially in ftag where the victim cant just respawn. Which in itself might not be a bad idea. Works as it does currently for the shooter but the dead player isnt frozen just respawns as in TDM.
  22. The defroster car, you never know someone might get frozen while you drive around. The same thing really as the uav and sentry. You could also use it to safely and quickly scout for the enemy. Then let your team know where they are. Both cars will mantle or jump through any window a player can. Being in 3rd person might make it a little more tricky perhaps. FF is ultimately a clan decision but will be turned off, since that is the long established setting, unless the decision is to change it. It certainly does make things more, I guess you could say tactical and you have to pay closer attention to your team. There are different way to do it however that are more like short non-lethal effects that dont involve team kills. Maybe just partial damage. The bouncing mine is just a different setting and there are a lot of variables for bounce factors and terrain types. Its also there to give that extra little bit of distance when you throw it.

Some updates: cod4 gamefont restored. saritch firetime lessed (didnt match the g36, which should be in between the m4 and ak). rc-xd *should* now be destroyable. after predator launch, pressing fire again give you a thrust boost but locks your directional control. 'defrosted' volume lowered and falloff made quicker. EMP nade defrosting time should be improved. Keep in mind that time is distance based, like grenade damage. map rotation changed to the current mw2 one, except for bo2mir. Not working due to memory limits at this time with all the nice looking new weapons. Working on it.
