it's like this kush..having done this a time or two..... 1 1/2 hrs before the test...1 gallon of water over about 15 minutes. Take a couple of ibuprofen, and a vitamin pack or multi vitamin or something to that effect. Make sure you pee at least twice before you go to your appointed round. Maybe even throw in a cup of coffee or two. Gotta mix inert ingredients with the water. Oh, and i almost forgot. Make sure you take a vitamin c for color. Some places will reject a sample if it's too clean and pure. Good luck my 420 brother. Disclaimer...these results are not guaranteed for you....but they have worked for me in the past.

Yea Billy, there is something there you can fuck with....lol You need to fix all the shit you know is bad first...before the carb adjust.But to adjust carb screw on the 82 its all the same ....turn in until idle gets a little rough then 1/2 turn out. If it has a lot of miles you might bump the timing up just a hair... a hair. lol. Alignment, tire psi and P.M. will all affect mileage, the carb adjust will only affect idle quality because your carb goes to a secondary fuel enrichment off-idle, and there is no adjustment for that on those carbs. Grab the carb and try to move it---if it moves around the underside base screws are loose, common problem especially on the inline 6 single barrel. If it is loose just take it off ,there are 4 screws on the underside, pull them out 1 at a time loctite and reinstall.You will b good. thx roguekill. carb is on good...tires.....umm.....nedd new ones. adjusted my idle yesterday, seemed high to me. there is some sort of funky coil-apperatus attached to the side(right side looking from drivers seat) with a tube that goes to the manifold?. the tube is busted off at the base and the little thingy has a plug for something on it thats not plugged in. It also has some sort of screw for the float in the carb. I'm guessing that it is the automatic choke? it not being on is not hurting my cold starts, at least not yet. A new carb is definitely on the list for the future, but times is still tough....just like my ole ford.....first things first. Change plugs this weekend, and cap and rotor. Plug wires look to be in pretty good shape.

hey fellas, i got a question. On my 78 econoline van (inline six, single barrel carb) i had an airflow adjustscrew so i could adjust the mix for gas mileage vs performance. Do i have the same on my 82 f100(2 barrel 302). Seems like my gas mileage is suckin pretty bad in town compared to the other 2 302's i've had (74 maverick...83 econoline van). Now my tires arent in the best shape, and i know i need to change my plugs, cap and rotor and wires, but the difference shoudnt be that bad. Since i fixed the seal on the accelorator pump, truck seems to be running pretty damn good for something 29 yrs old. Nice smooth idle with not much misfiring...you know how old fords are. On a personal note.....They really are FORD TOUGH!!!!!!!!!!BUYA!!!!!!

i dont know if this is relative, but i'm a post whore....like danko.... My f100 had a cracked I beam where the ball joint had pretty much sank down inside where the hole had wallowed itself out. I had some weird wobble from that at certain speeds. Still got some wobble stuff happening...very slightly, but i'm pretty sure its because of uneven tire wear. I had the i beam replaced and an alignment done. I think a new set of tires will probably fix that up. On another note, whats the best recommended fuel additive to help improve performance and maintain cleaner engine and such guys? There is so much bullshit out there its hard to know.

i tell ya what dean. Ive had 3 ideas that Rugger has managed to mod up in no time. An acemod knife only should be a couple hours effort in between machinig projects for da boss. Easy money!!!!!!

RogueKill WOW 2 QTS A WEEK? which plugs are fouled? Cause if they are not firing it will cause "cylinder wash" - excess fuel will cause the rings to not seal. Also they will look like that if they are not firing properly. how many miles on it? The backfirng is what makes me wonder because if the oil was causing the plugs not to fire there would be no backfire. I still think you just maybe have a severe case of a KV problem-which means plugs are not firing right. please check the wires at cap and also the distributor rotor.If you had an oil fouling problem you would get no backfire and if you had a low lobe(worn cam) you would get more backfire on high revs--- I still believe you have a simple prev. maint problem--wires/cap/rotor. Also i know this sounds dumb, but check you pcv valve- pull itout of the valve cover when it is running put your finger over the hole and see if the check valve moves. We always say--back to the basics -that is 90 % of all problems. I flip cars now and you wouldn't believe how many I get that they think are DONE and it is something simple. its funny you say that rogue kill. My wife had a 99 ford explorer sport that would die out at a stop. we thought it was somethin major goin on, turns out it was just the little rod in the engine idler switch, valve, component or whatnot. A litlle carb cleaner and it was good as new, until it finally got stuck and really crapped out. 100 bucks...two bolts on the top of the motor, one electrical plug and ..BAM... good as new (or used but in good condition!)

I know we got some mechanics who know a thing or two round here, and for those of us would be mechanics who are kinda daring( and broke) it would be nice to consult some folk before risking all on something like home auto repair. Just a thought, and BTW, I was totally successful on my repair. i am sorry to hear about this wildthing, it sucks balls...literally. My best advice to you is to seek a lawyer to represent you to the insurance company. Most lawyers give the first consultation free, and in a case like this there would be damages from which I believe the lawyer would take his/her fee from, if not from suing the insurance company for legal expenses. It seems to me that anything to do with insurance requires a lawyer these days to represent you as the red tape is so extensive, those are the only qualified individuals with the knowledge to deal with the insurance company using their own language against them.
