cheers for the help guys, biniQDU sounds what i used a few years ago, but its been so long. yoda, these files were definately weirder than last time normal notepad never opened them, which is what most search engines advise you to, and wordpad is another which never worked, tried a few text editors as well, but mainly those things put more junk on my comp so i took em of. i love freelancer, but after completeing the game i went into mods, and the 4th and 2 SO did not go well(in fact not at all), so need to tweak it. bit annoying really i am not a comp nerd, so it is all new to me, and at 40, new things are something i must think hard about before i decide if i want to waste brain power(what i have left) to learn and try to commit to memory,lol

Yes, my beautiful crazy arse family. bazza is back. installing game now, then will dl patches god knows how many, then instal them. comp has died on me more times than i can mention in past 7 months, reformatting every whwich way, most annoying. finally got a small windfall, so got win 7, new hdd(downsized, as nowhere nearly filled even 1/4 of space of last), new dvd drive, as my motor blew, so couldnt get this reinstalled.grrrrr . also got a card and going out tomorrow to buy a power supply, 400 wont cut it anymore. stupid am2,. so will be back very shortly. hopefully my issues with system32 errors is now resolved what with a new hdd and a new os. Wahoooo be running past ya like a loony soon :PPPPPPPPPPP oh, BTW does anyone know where i can get a new processor bigger that 4200+ am2? shops dont anymore......

well, after many many many bloody fing reinstalls and repairs of windows xp(never could find out how to get win7 of torrent as i dont use them) iafter the comp died again, i got annoyed and did a quick format, that at least got the blasted thing running again. my original xp disk kept giving me win32 errors, for some reason. now apart from the mouse playing silly buggers on the screen, xp is playing up with graphics card me thinks, mind u, haven't installed drivers for that yet, but i know its incompatible with xp on some lvls as it warns me when i install them, i hope to be back playing. tho tbh if this fing thing crashes one more time, i WILL beat the thing to death and become an xbox freak. this has been killing me for 3 months now, and am at the very end of my tether. so gonna reinstall drivers and cod but if it crashes again, i dont think you'll see me again till i get 600 quid to buy a new comp, cos the case at the top is getting a tad dented from rage atm. missed you guys, your the best!!!!!!!!!

help me again plz guys comps up and running, but now windows is saying that its a counterfiete one, it probably is tbh, my comp came installed with win xp, have the product key on my tower, but the cd was lost in our move a year ago. when my work buddy mended my comp, he put win xp home on, but i have no disc or key. what do i do? burn my comp, or save up for the hideously expensive win 7? went on microsofts website, can find NO place to put in my key, and to phone them( i tried) or contact them for support, its a 46 quid charge.... WTF.... arrrrgh......... am i deluding myself, or should i become a hated xbox player from now on? this is pissing me off sooo frikking much

so, you may not have noticed that this idiot aint been around much comp died in totalis. got it working sort of finally, and Wizid was really kind and sent me a n9500gt graphics card. so comp works, have installed said drivers on the cards cd, but i cannot get online and have absolutely no idea why. ethernet drivers appear to be there, but cant find the device to get online, dont know if its lan or 1894 net adapter. Bit of a noob here. this is killing me, been what 2 months of now?? am really close to dumping the lot and throwing myself of the fucking cliff. tried to buy a cpu fan as mine has died, but 3 pc shops i have been in say i need to rebuy the whole processor?? is that right? i dont trust shop people. got a few games on the comp, but obvoisly playing offline. can anyone PLZ help or suggest anything. plz plz. wizid was a star, and the card works, but when i got online er offline was it a page in memoery? the webpage was sort of screwed, and i got a message that the card may have windows issues? why is that? what else is there? i run xp home. as cant afford win 7. cheers for input peeps.
