This is one of the reasons I stopped using care packages totally, went with the car. The other reason is even with a 1 in 100 chance of dropping a nuke, I personally do not think that it should drop one at all. I do agree with you though that the care package thieves have really started showing there heads more lately. Not sure who it was that was complaining about it earlier today but they had 4 care packages stolen from them in about 8 minutes.

It just goes to show CobraBites has no clue as to what this config does, because it does let you open doors, pick up weapons and crates unlike using /+activate which screws you over. Admin privilages revoked again Cobra lol.

Copy and paste this. //======================================== //AUTOTHAW TOGGLER================= //======================================== set thawon "+activate; set fgt vstr thawoff" set thawoff "-activate; set fgt vstr thawon" set fgt "vstr thawon" bind f "vstr fgt" Then save it as a .cfg file in your main folder in COD4 folder. Just remember what you named the .cfg file as and before you get into the server open your console and type in /exec *.cfg with the * being the name you gave the .cfg file. This also allows you to still pick up weapons if you want where using /+activate does not and to also auto pickup care packages. Just remember if you need to pick up a gun press the use key then move forward a step and press your use key again to go back to autodefrosting.

Lol, I will try and remember how to do a cfg file so you can defrost without picking up weapons and not having to use the f key. I have it done for cod4 and you can run it before you get into any of the ft servers and it works.

PigDog - My New Benchmark numbers OK, so my new rig is up and purring along and I ran some benchmarks on Heaven dx11. The numbers are pretty impressive, at least compared to my old rig. Here is how they compare - both were tested at 1920x1200 with everything on high.... New rig is an i7 with 16 GB RAM and a GeForce 570. Old system was an Intel Q6600 with a GeForce 260. It ran pretty nicely, but the new one blows it away. New Rig FPS - 60.0 Score - 1512 Min FPS - 11.4 Max FPS 139.9 Old Rig FPS - 22.8 Score - 574 Min FPS - 9.7 Max FPS - 45.6 Can I get my kick ass computer medal now? I would like to see some other benchmarks - has anyone else run theirs? You can DL Heaven dx11 and run it there. The graphics are pretty cool to watch. Piggy, Piggy, Piggy, that is so typical of you wanting a computer medal. I think it should go to TSW because Piggy had to ask him for the proper parts. Then the guys at the local Best Buy had to put it together for the Texan, because we all know Piggy would just rut around and break something in there.

BUDMAN just got the game .....black friday i think it was for 29.99 .................That is not the issue everytime i join our 64 bf3 server i die with in 2 to 5 secs of the spawn................................. cant even move... do i need to go to a rank up server or .......????? Budman, try lowering your resolution in the game. It will fix the lag issue, and you will notice that you will be able to kill people again. It took me a while to also figure this out so I could get my kids computer to run the game but that is what fixed the problem.

Anything is fine by me, I prefer the 64 player server but that is just me. As for the lag issues people are complaining about, I have been playing the game since launch on my kids pc which is an old quad core with a 9500gt video card. Have not really experienced any lag except when my isp decides to be dicks, but the company is called Cox so what should I expect.

Hemps, on my laptop which has a 9500gt which is not even on the chart it runs the game fine at high details but on 1024 x 768 for resolution. So if it can run on that antique laptop it will run just fine on your PC. My PC though runs the game in the highest resolution with everything on high but it is a overkill gaming machine. The kids are enjoying the game as much as I am, which is why I checked it out on the old laptop before buying it for them for there machine.

There should be a rule 9.5, if you jump in a vehicle make sure it is full before storming out of your spawn leaving a lot of people stranded. That is probably more annoying than someone not knowing how to drive in the first place. I try to stay away from the choppers unless it is totally vacant, not many people I know that can fly the things. There should also be a rule 11, do not let Dragonslayer be your gunner in a chopper, at the first sign of trouble he will bail out on ya. I had to bring you into this Dragon, just to pick on ya. The game so far has been really fun, just wish that Tehran Highway or whatever it is named did not lag so horribly. Other than that, the game is worth it. I am enjoying it and looking forward to see more of you in the future.

Yeah Chile, I have noticed a huge increase in the lag myself. I do not know if it is the location or what, I was pinging it at about 40 a couple weeks ago and now I am lucky to get 110 most times. Oh well, I am still able to play now to figure out what is giving the ci's randomly.
