don't think it's a wire ,but who knows , I always thought it was just a glitch in the game , Doesn't happen often enough to be a big deal.

I have had simalar issues , when I go to shoot nothing, then have to hit button a second time , If I'm still alive lol I have the G9x

well I don't use a keyboard for game play , I use the Razer Norstromo game pad and logitech G9x mouse.. works for me ..
