BUT I managed to make it work. I am not sure how though...

Was it that I run the game as an admin? that I put the PNKBST A and B in high priority in services? That I changed some things in their firewall properties? I have no clue I tried so many things.

I wish there was a guide, *step by step* somewhere, so ppl wont get frustrated and loose time over a silly game

I would appreciate a step by step guidance for DUMMIES cause something I am doing wrong and this is not working.

doesnt the Hosting company provides restore points? or you have to pay for it?

I am a high pinger (180-230)  and I usually play with a bolt action rifle as first weapon.

In order to manage to play decently, I have to be really concentrated on the game and constantly try to estimate when to shoot, so I can hit a target (trying to calculate the lag etc).
As the time passes and you learn the maps, thing are a bit easier but still it can be  quite exhausting to play the game.
Sometimes you can see me on top of the score. Many times at the end of the score board,  usually when I am too tired to be constantly concentrated on the game.

I think the extra effort demanded by the high pingers is what makes them having better scores. We have to fight hard for each shot.

Lag is good. Lag is great. Lag is your friend. Lag allows already lagged Seven to kill you more times.

On serious note(!), even me can't play with these lag spikes. 

It adds some suspense to the game since while time seems frozen,  you try to guess if you shot a player or a tree.
Truth is,  the server's hiccups  make the game unplayable.

Cause all of them are necrophiliacs and the biggest of all is that Moron 6 dude, he kills me and then he knifes me and sometimes he knifes me and then he knifes me again post modern.. and well you get it...  

Rez, I am not gonna lie.. I  have questioned you too..
I once said "he must be one of the smartest players online". Another time I said  " he hacks or something in his computer setup gives him some kind of advantage".
I don't know if you hack or not, you might just be too good for your own good..
I  mean, I have played against really good players that I  know they dont hack, and they pretty much do what you suggested above in your tips list, however none of them was as efficient and as   invincible as you are, it is almost unreal.
In any case, it is not fun after a while to play against "perfect" killing machine players, it is not a challenge anymore..it is just frustration.

well if you manage to get a good supply I deserve a few of those.

btw, one night at the Bessie map, when Skuz was exterminating us again and again, we had a (virtual) drinking game every time he shot us.
we (virtually) became AA that night...

I like Skuz, he never frustrates you in game even if he kills you x1000 times and he is always a challenge.

WOW first Seven I thank you for searching the forums for the correct post. Sadly I cannot do what you ask. The redirect works when member joins a full server. And that can be at anytime. I do apologize for the poor timing but thats all it was. And you can never ask to much of us at XI we try to make everybody happy so ask away.

is it possible in the FT server, not to redirect when the game is in the final 30secs?
the other day, one player got redirected while he was defrosting me and because I stayed frozen we lost the round

But I agree to @@Damage_inc-

We have a compass on the mini map and should use it. And if you play FT and you are frozen the hint "One on me" is ok. Maybe with an addition of her/his actual position at your location. "Behind the container"...

 

Six, 10 etc is useless as nobody knows where you are actually looking at.

 

Played with @CRUSHER on Saturday and his commands are very helpful. Sometimes a bit too much information but helpful.

but when I say to someone...  "bad guy on your 3 o'clock" I think its kind of obvious...no?

anyway guys, I was addressing to the fellow-freezetaggers, we had a few laughs about that night so they know what I am talking about, no worries.

Just heard the news while in game.
I have played with the man a few times.
I send my best wishes for a  fast as possible recovery.
I see he has good friends to help him.

Thought of introducing myself so to know the name is 7 and not bug.


Well, I am Seven, I am from Greece and I am an FTA (freeze tag anonymous).

I thought my FT addiction had died along with Medal of Honour and I had reached recovery.
Then SHAMU decided to mess with my sobriety and told me about you. That evil old whale..
And now I have officially relapsed... sigh..

Shamu also used to be a BUG. We had our little group of Buggars playing MOH SH FT.
MOH was dying but we had so much fun playing FT that we kept the dream alive for a couple of years.
I even modded maps back then. Anyway, that group eventualy went to oblivion so now days I am basically a clan of one.

I live in Athens and I am a freelancer web sites "constructor". Freelancer not by choice really, but as you might have heard, things in
Greece are really tough and since I left out of a regular job I had to make some money.
Freelancing "gives" me the late hours I need (!) to play with you all. So not bad, eh?
I basically only play FT and sometimes COD2 CTF (in a UK server which is almost as lovely as yours).

Seven comes from "7 of 9" the Borg Lady of the Star Trek Universe.
When I first played MOH on line, I had a modem and a horrible ping of 500. Only two servers were tolerating my lagginess, one was a Star Trek theme oriented server,
so I when I joined I used the name of my favourite  ST character.
The 2nd server I joined a few mins after,  was the "Free Soldiers" FT one and I hadn’t changed my nick. So people got to know me as "7 of 9".
And they loved to fantasize me having the looks of Jeri Ryan hahahaha. Who am I to ruin their fun?
But since I am a bit of an egocentric monster I didn’t want to have a tv character's name, so when we created the Buggars  I switched it to plain Seven.

There, now you know. Not Bug.

But, you will still keep calling me a "Bug" instead,  right?
