  1. Yes, all prices will be in Canadian, so you will save with the Dollar so long as it stays at its rate LOL
  2. Labour Day weekend is the weekend before, rates begin dropping after Labour Day.
  3. Ill give a day or two for people to see post and toss in if they prefer a certain weekend, noone does, Ill go ahead and flip a coin!

  5. Hello Peeps, Rooger has some things on the go and has asked me to get this off the ground as I know the area Looking to get a rough head count and a bit of info from people as to what they would be interested in so I can start checkin gout group rates and stuff. Now, with that being said, it IS a tourist town, expect tourist prices LOL. We have MANY options for hotels depending on what people want. We can get hotels right in the thick of things on Clifton Hill area. EVERYTHING is within walking distance from this area except maybe go-karts, have to look into that, the Falls is right theremThere is ziplining along the falls just started this year, Maid of The Mist boat tour, tour under the falls, 2 casinos with full buffets and shows and Yuk Yuks, haunted houses, Marine land (Not walking distance for Marine Land but a 10 minute drive) Magic shows and tons of little museums and shit everywhere. There is wine tasting tours all over the place, Niagara region is well known for its wineries. We can also get hotels a little cheaper that are on what is called Lundys Lane, it is about 5 minutes from the actual falls, just a big strip of hotels off the way for those looking to save a few bucks Basically looking for idea on how many plan on attending, Best weekend for it in September of 2017, looking at Thursday till Sunday according to Rooger and im sure if people want to show up earlier arrangements can be made with the hotel at the time of booking, some ideas on what you'se want to do. This is my first fest so bear with me!!!! Wifey will start calling around looking at group rates and stuff, ALOT of hotels have package deals also that give you coupons for different attractions on Clifton hill, or casino packages or food packages Lets get the ball rolling on this and see how many plan on attending!! Dont toss your name in if you are not coming or we send Wildthing to your house and get 15 minutes on the closet with him!! Wife did a few calls this morning to places on Clifton hill, looking anywheres from $100 a night to $160 depending on the hotel. One hotel has said they would give us the whole floor for $125 a night so long as it was all 3 days. Alot of other hotels are giving different rates for each day getting progressivly more expensive friday and saturday night. Days in on Clifton Hill says they will flat rate it 125 but has to be for all 3 days. Just calling around trying to get some info so everyone has a little bit to go on before we pull the trigger on anything, a few of the hotels have said they already have reservations coming in for that time She has been asking about the weeks of Sept 7-10th and Sept 14-17. It is the weekend after Labor Day here in Canada, do NOT want to go the 1st weekend of September Labor Day weekend as prices will be probably double Looking forward to finally meeting a bunch of your idiots!! Ill start it out StormCrow and Wife

  12. here is the original
  13. Well yesterday I got my newest tattoo. Got a nearly 1/2 sleeve done as a tribute to my favorite rock band Monster Truck. About 8 months ago when I started my weight loss journey I made the appointment. When I made it I told the artist I was hoping to be 60-70 lbs lost by then. The 8 months passed and my appointment was yesterday, hoped on the scale yesterday morning and am at 117lbs lost! Kinda beet my goal a wee bit LOL. This tattoo is a gift to myself for the hard work of getting my weight semi under control. Still got 40-50lbs before Ill start feeling comfortable with myself. Lead guitarist of the band saw a pic on my facebook, his comment was "Holy Shit!!!! Amazing!!!" here it is 1st thing this morning Im blown away by the detail he got into this thing!!!
  14. me at 116lbs lost, This hoodie came with pre-order of my fav bands newest album back in February... at the time.. it was almost like a halter top on me it was so tight and my belly hung out the bottom... fits great now!!
  15. In 20+ years of on again off again guitar playing I never learned a Tragically Hip song. Alot here wont know the Hip, they are the quintessential Canadian band. Never made it big in the states and didnt care. The lead singer Gord Downie has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. They did one last tour across Canada and their last show was broadcast live on the CBC and drew over 11 million Canadian viewers, over 1/3 of Canada watched. These numbers are a bit screwed because there were thousands of households that held parties with 20+ people watching on one TV... that counts as 1 viewer. They are a bad ass Canadian band and here is my hack job tribute to them!
  16. What an absolutely amazing show! I had a few friends lucky enough to be there live doing facebook live videos, saw some great shots! So humbling and sad! They have done so much for Canada. I did shed a tear at one part, no not at any of the speeches he made or not even when Rob (lead guitarist) wiped a tear from his eye. There was a spot about 3/4 of the way through the concert, I dont even recall what song was playing, will have to recheck when I rewatch the recording, but it was a good long solo and Gordie just stood there looking off into the crowd, you could see the thought, the love, the devotion in his face, he just stood there, took a deep breath, nodded once and went back to the mic. Most moving moment of the night for me Courage For Gordie! Canadas Musical Sons FUCK CANCER The Tragically Hip In Gord We Trust
  17. I rearranged my work schedule for today so I can get home in time to watch this. Im not a huge Hip fan, but MASSIVELY respect what they have done for the Canadian Music Scene of which I am a HUGE fan of! I am sure I will shed a tear at some point. Gordie is up there with Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton Lenord Cohen and Gordon Lightfoot for one of the greatest song writers of all time. It is sad but at the same time, he gets to go out how he wants... to the love of the fans!! Heres to Gordie getting a few years atleast of time with family
  18. They been opening every show with that tune! I can rock it on guitar also! They got some bad ass tunes, I love each and every song, but I may be impartial LOL
  19. Too funny.... after all that and when the drummer gave me the stick after the encore, random dude beside me (noticed all the attention I got from the band all night) turns to me and says "So, which dick did ya suck to get all the love?" LMAO!!!
  20. So, head out last night, road trip 2.5 hours to go see my favorite band yet again Monster Truck. If you have not yet, you really need to check these fuckers out, they rock! So, I go down eary, grab a bite to eat, head to the venue an hour early and am 1st in line as per my norm! Sitting there shooting shit with security and a van pulls up to get into the venue, the passenger window comes down, and its the Lead singer Marv. he says to me, "Great to see ya fucking made it, real good to see ya James" and I get a fist pump as they drive in. Woot Woot, days made. Little do I know it has just begun! So the show starts, they are rocking out, play a sick ass 1.5 hour set. Comes to last song of the set, the lead guitarist gets on the mic and thanks everyone for coming despite the rain, says this is last song before the encore, then says "This one goes out to James From Cambridge" FUCK ME RUNNING!!!! I nearly shat my pants!! Im rocking out like a mother fucker now, loving life, I have never heard them send a song out to anyone in all the shows I have been to... 16 of them... They finish that song and head off, come back for encore and rock out 2 songs, the drummer then hooks me up with another drumstick! He gave me one a few months ago at a show! And says to me "Stick around 15 min if ya got the time" If I got the time? If I got the time????? Fuck yeah I gots the time! He comes out 15 min or so later, we shoot the shit about weight loss and life and family and rock and roll and then he hooks me up with a picture! FUCK I LOVE THESE GUYS!!! Never been so blown away by a band showing a superfan such love! Im in perma smile mode!
  21. heya BB, no secrets dear, Just watching what I eat and a bit of walking. I eat breakfast lunch and dinner now, ad lots of snacks between of fruit and veggies. I try to keep my calories around 2000 a day. I avoid bread like the plague, haev a couple pieces a month. I eat alot of chicken breast. Love chicken! I dont do fast food anymore, and i dont do goodies. After the 1st month and seeing results I dont miss the junk at all! I eat more now than I ever did in my life. After about 5 months of just better eating I was down 60 lbs and started doing 1 hour of mall walking on my days off. I work 4 on 4 off, so i would get 4 days of walking in a row then dont walk while I work (I work 12 hours shifts, not much time for anything on work days) And lots of rock and roll! Bunch of concerts rocking out in the pit burns a shit ton of calories LOL. Basically you need to find something to emerse yourself in and goals to strive for. And when you do reach a goal, dont celibrate with food. alot of people are like YAY I hit 50lbs down, lets go crush a buffet all you can eat, ill get back on the track tomorrrow! That is where alot of people slip, they dont get back on track. Reward yourself with a new top, go take a nice hike and just relish in what you have accomplished. And dont get discouraged! I have had MANY weeks where I stayed the same weight or even went up a pound and I was like "what the fuck, i didnt eat anything different, no way that should happen" It does happen though, ya need to get through those weeks knowing its just your body changing and getting used to all this new shit going on. I was VERY detirmined and always have been when I set my mind to something, and its all cool having people notice the weight loss, friends and family and even everyone here, but the ones that really get me and get my eyes watering are when my 12 year old son hugs me out of the blue saying he is so proud of the changes I have made.... or my daughter yelling in glee the first time she hugged me and her fingers touched! Those are the moments I look for and hang onto when things get tough, and lord knows they get tough some weeks!
  22. CBD weed will make you high like regular weed, not an off the wall high like my medicinal weeds i get, but more along the lines of street weed high, they just call it CBD weed because it has a high concentration on CBD (average 10-15% with a THC content of 6-10%) my medicinal strains are hitting 18-27% THC... i love the heavy indicas :-) As for the oils, smokables yes you will get high, again, its just a % The topical CBD creams and the pure CBD capsules have zero THC in them, THC is what gives you the "buzz" Pure CBD "Pheonix Tears" edible oil will run you $70 a gram up here, but again, zero THC so zero buzz. http://www.leafscience.com/2014/02/23/5-must-know-facts-cannabidiol-cbd/
  23. Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement!!! Its because of stuff like what the radio station has done, the words from my favorite band, family support at home AND all of you here that make sharing my journey that much more special for me. It makes me strive for the next goal to share! That will be at the end of the month when I go and take a horseback riding lesson with my daughter! Neither of us has ever been on a horse and she saw me share the weight loss moment of going to the amusement park with my son and wants to have a moment with me also. Looking forward to that!! Thank you again, it means a shit load!!
  24. I get CBD weed through my dispensary for my circulation and knee pain. The one strain I get (Pennywise) has about 12% cbd. It is great for pain and infamation. There have been many documented cases of CBD oils greatly helping in cancer patients, including a few cases PROVEN where years of treatment didnt help a patient, and after doing CBD treatments the tumors shrinking and some even disapearing. The oils are obviously a lot higher concentrate that the smokables I get. They also have the oils where I go, but i prefer a buzz WITH my pain killing weed LOL. I know pure CBD's dont give you any of the effects weed does. It is the pure medicinal part of weed. There is alot of available info out there now on CBD's and CBN's and THC and all the great medicinal values
  25. I do believe i am well over the 6 year mark also... i know it sure feels like it... oh ya... !fu xpan
