  1. I run them through the dishwasher (on sanitize) after flushing, brushing and de-labeling. Oxi-clean does a wonderful job of dissolving label glue. Thinking about just tossing them in the oven for an hour or so @ 300. That ought to kill any nasties. Never had a problem yet though, so I'll probably continue. @@TBB, I'll sample a couple of ounces from my graduated cylinders, after taking hydrometer readings, just to see if it's palatable. Hard to get enthused when it's still on primary fermentation. All you have to do is clean the gook out of the bottom of a primary to kill your appetite. I've let beer sit on the secondary for two months before bottling, and it was great. You just can't get in a hurry w/this stuff. The boys are trying to talk me into kegging, and it's wonderful, but somebody ought to keep bottling, just for the portability. Anybody have ceramic caps for flip-tops? All mine are plastic, and I just don't like them.
  2. Yes, still have it, and love the game. This was brought up a couple of years ago, and Unreal Tourny was picked to have a server over Q3. Sorry OverKill.
  3. Couple of brewing friends have moved on to kegging & co2 injection, but I still prime & bottle my homebrewed beer. With years of collecting bottles, I still don't have enough of the same type to fill a five gallon batch. Always have a batch bottled & aging, and another on the secondary waiting to be bottled. Most of the people that enjoy beverages want 12oz bottles, so I don't use the 22oz I've collected. I've chucked out all the Sam Adams & everything else that's embossed, that leaves a majority of non-descript long necks, and squat Sierra Nevadas. Local restaurant has started saving Modelo Negra bottles for me, because I love the size and shape (beer isn't bad either). Also have 24 swing-top Grolsch, but they'll only cover half a batch. Anybody else still bottle? How do you disinfect, and what's your favorite bottle for use? If I ever had all by bottles empty at once, I could fill one batch in the same containers.
  4. Tell her to wear her glasses next time she's playing with her husband.
  5. But Aussie, you already wished me a happy birthday. Been digging into the stout have you? TY lass.....lol.
  6. Well howdy Sherm! Always enjoy putting bullets through you. Welcome to the forums, looks like you have the pick of choice for sponser. Just blather on a few threads, and that ought to get you covered. Frag you later!
  7. Thank you everyone, Wished my manager & her husband a safe trip this morning. They're off to New Orleans. I spent the rest of the day doing inventory, watching the snow blow around the buildings, and answering the occasional phone call. Yawwwwn. My wife gets off work later tonight, so we'll have an exciting evening watching a movie curled up in bed. Hate to see time go by, but I can't wait for spring!
  8. Ahh, the joys of memory management & 5.25 floppy disks. Some things you just don't miss. Hard to believe we shelled out $50 for programs that could be wiped out setting next to a speaker magnet. Backup copies anyone?
  9. Worse comes to worse, you can always do an installation of win7 again. All your files should appear in a folder named Windows Old. Only if the "repair" option fails. Sux, but it beats a full format.
  10. Fine day for a Birthday, have a wonderful one!
  11. How could I not mention Empire? This'll kill half a day w/o blinking an eye.
  12. I love Guadalcanal and Bomb Alley from the Apple II days. Galactic Saga, Geopolitic, The Prisoner, all were great time wasters. If you want to burn down an easy hour, De-Animator is the best, although I hate being caught w/an empty shotgun when the horde comes to rip your head & spinal cord out.
  13. Confined to an old HP Pavilion laptop @ work. This time of year, we're rather slow, so there's time to kill during the day. DosBox & WinApple are two programs loaded. Gotta play my old Apple2 games, and IronCross under DosBox. Can't play Hearts, Mahjong, Chess, and De-animator alone.
  14. Yep, listened to him every lunch hour. Like hxtr said, a man riddled with morals and common sense.
  15. Same issue. Reinstalled game, patched to 1.7, no servers show up on list. Deleted .dat file, nothing. Added all favorites ip's manually, and play, but still no servers show on main. PB issue? Looked on forums, but nobody had a clear solution.
  16. Happy be-lated Birthday Spanky, and Happy New Year!
  17. Happy New Year Everyone, have a grand day, and great hope for the New Year!
  18. I love Mechanica, best trip mine & bash map around.
  19. My resolution is to brew a batch of ale tomorrow and sort out all my odd size bottles. That, and sleep to 0900, at least.
  20. Happy New Year lads & ladies! This means the Christmas tree & wreaths come down tomorrow.
  21. Happy Birthday Birthday Captain, hope there's time for a game or two later. Enjoy!
  22. No I'm not....wedding ring is on my left hand, double d'oh! Need another beer, been bottling all afternoon.
  23. Can't take credit, that was Mrs.Beer taking the shot. I was in "yes dear" mode.
  24. Here's a pic taken with the old Argus on Kodak's bw film, probably when I was 12-13 years old. My Grandfather, Thomas Brophy. now, a couple of shots while we were in London, with my brother's little Olympus 35mm. Oh yeah, here's a shot of me pulling on the oars in Hyde Park, while my wife lounged......lol you DO notice the wedding ring on my right hand?
  25. TY Dean, glad I maintained my idiot status. Ya gets what ya deserve for being careless. The actvation key is now packaged with the operating system disk, and a copy is filed elsewhere. D'oh! Time to reload WAW and get used to being knifed again.
