drunksniper I install the newish 21CN broadband around the country and have found that you can only get 100mb in the exchanges. Yes Virgin do offer great broadband because they use fibre optic from the exchanges to the end of your street and it does give you around about the figures you want not unlike the other broadband companies. They could offer you this sevice upto your modem but would have to give you fibre optic. at the moment from the cab to your house is only copper which is a shame. has anybody out there got there new 100 mb and if so what have they had to do to install it? have they used fibre straight to the door? Hi mate you are sort of right but you will find that its fibre to within 150mtrs of your home then its coax not twisted pair and independant tests showed that using coax you can get steady 500Mb speeds with no loss as long as the coax is under 200mtrs. And virgin use coax because the number of customers that chop the cable in there front garden is unbelieveable I repair at least 2 per day so can you imagine what the cost would be if it was fibre to the home lol.

Cheese Maybe when Virgin media decide to Stop disconnecting most weekends in my area.... Where are you mate and what package have you got ??
