  1. called twc finally got someone that is semi knowledgeable. said it was router and that there is something slowing down our cable drastically so they are sending someone to check it all this comming sat.
  2. sbg6580. i can get into the router the only thing i cant do is mess with the modem configs but stuff like wireless broadband to napt i have complete control
  3. so i got a motorola surfboard and either the router is going bad or twc just sucks. every now and again i have to go into the router and manually renew the WAN or i lose access to sites like xtremeidiots or and other site i google yet i can still access facebook.
  4. if the scammer had remote access to the pc i would only back up must haves likt pictures and documents that she knows she needs. also thats a dallas area code. though there is a microsoft building here in dallas doubt it is from there. one thing you can start doing to remove is get a bandwidth scanning program to see what is using bandwidth. anything that is unknown should be shut down. start the computer in safe mode get a cd of malware bytes or kapersky. or simply save what you know to be clean and wipe the pc.
  5. i have power units for all my computers. so thats not a problem.
  6. mines an amd 940 so not to far ahead but im maxing out the RAM. i did a voltage mod to it about a year ago so the nb is a bit faster than normal
  7. So this is a bit technical. I am getting my new pc next week and will be turning my current one into a server. i got 2 new hard drives coming it at 2 tb each. I am thinking of putting linux servers on it as the os and doing a webgui on it since linux servers doesnt have a gui. i have a static ip address as of next week. now my questions 1. how can i run this server to send and receive internet wirelessly since it is going to be located in a difference room of the house so that it is now in the way or near where my kids can get to it? 2. Will i be able to run multiple game servers and webpages off this one server? comments?
  8. i remember the tex ritter version very well. it used to play on the radio every sunday and i would hear it on the way to church.
  9. aww you remembered
  10. ill stick to my 7970 6gb toxic edition tyvm
  11. 2 7770 cards can run bf3 on ultra they are decent gaming cards. 2 of them costs maybe 250... but for 50 bucks more you could get a 7950 which would do the same.
  12. if only i had a IT job... ugh.
  13. you can use 2 different programs and set their default audio output so for video you can use 2 players eg. windows media and divx player and go into the options and set the audio output for each individual one so that each monitor will be playing a different audio feed
  14. not many dual hdmi cards the zotac 650 is one of them though and u can get it for about 129 on newegg
  15. I need audio and yes in different areas. This is a Tax attorney that has lots of information to present. Super smart girl that is on the radio and also on TV via the local news. She wants wants presentations on the one monitor specific to her audience. It will be complicated at first until I have it set right. The video card is important. I looked at a ATI card and it had the ports but the mini one. I not sure if that can convert to reg HTMI. If so then cool. If I go ATI I will choose AMD for the proc. If iNvidia I want intel. And I need to look deeper in what Kap suggested. I want to go to the fest. This is my path to get there. I just hope I dont have to meet iPinglo. lol mini hdmi converts to regular np
  16. gonna be a pain to do 2 audio from one pc... not impossible but a pain
  17. are the screens in different rooms? do you need the hdmi for the audio? if you dont need the audio do an amdi card like 7770 or something and do hdmi and dvi as the output and use eyefinity to separate the displays. the only difference between hdmi and dvi is hdmi also carries an audio stream.
  18. Maybe that was a year ago and lately alot of patches has been done. Reason for that was that DayZ was out and became highly populated that they have picked up the game and patching it up. Plus the Devs are working together. So really buggy, No. it was still very buggy as of 3 months ago... it was not well written. not optimized at all. server all start bugging out after 3-4 hours of being up and have to be reset. it is a huge memory leak and not worth getting a server for when arma 3 comes out so soon
  19. i got it but the game is really buggy and arma 3 comes out soon
  20. ive looked at the benchmarks.... both builds are completely customized by me... im asking cuz it is really close only difference is the 200-400 dollar price
  21. would the intel build be worth the extra 200-400 bucks?
