  3. This is little-known story from the Pentagon on 09/11/2001: During a visit with a fellow chaplain, who happened to be assigned to the Pentagon, I had a chance to hear a first-hand account of an incident that happened right after Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. The chaplain told me what happened at a daycare center near where the impact occurred. This daycare had many children, including infants who were in heavy cribs. The daycare supervisor, looking at all the children they needed to evacuate, was in a panic over what they could do. There were many children, mostly toddlers, as well as the infants that would need to be taken out with the cribs. There was no time to try to bundle them into carriers and strollers. Just then a young Marine came running into the center and asked what they needed. After hearing what the center director was trying to do, he ran back out into the hallway and disappeared. The director thought, 'well, there we are—on our own.' About 2 minutes later, that Marine returned with 40 other Marines in tow. Each of them grabbed a crib with a child, and the rest started gathering up toddlers. The director and her staff then helped them take all the children out of the center and down toward the park near the Potomac and the Pentagon. Once they got about 3/4 of a mile outside the building, the Marines stopped in the park, and then did a fabulous thing - they formed a circle with the cribs, which were quite sturdy and heavy, like the covered wagons in the Old West. Inside this circle of cribs, they put the toddlers, to keep them from wandering off. Outside this circle were the 40 Marines, forming a perimeter around the children and waiting for instructions. There they remained until the parents could be notified and come get their children.. The chaplain then said, "I don't think any of us saw nor heard of this on any of the news stories of the day. It was an incredible story of our men there. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The thought of those Marines and what they did and how fast they reacted; could we expect any less from them? It was one of the most touching stories from the Pentagon. Remember Ronald Reagan's great compliment: "Most of us wonder if our lives made any difference. Marines don't have that problem." God Bless the USA , our troops, and you. It's the Military, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the Military, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the Military, not the politicians that ensures our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.

  6. SgtHarryWeezer What we need to do is get rid of the dollar bill and replace it with a coin. We currently are minting dollar coins - the latest in a succession of failed dollar coin ventures - that are being warehoused because no one will use them. Vendors don't want them because it means they have to redo a shitload of machines. But the main reason we have haven't switched to coins is because at the same time, the gov't continues printing the dollar bill. Set a date certain when bills are out and coins are in, and we won't have to carry a shitload of bills in our pockets. Likewise, dump the frickin' penny - PLEASE. I refuse to save or roll them. When I get pennies in change, I throw them away when I leave the store. It's simply not worth my time to screw with them, and it actually costs taxpayers more to coin them then they are worth. PS: If that scum-sucking communist cocksucker we have in the Oval Office EVER appears on U.S. currency, I'm moving to Canada. when I was in scotland I loved the fact that there were 1 and 2 pd coins the gold inlay was cool

  15. Well as yo all know I recently moved back to KY from WI to take care of his property. it has been a hot summer for me. but I wanted to give you idiots an idea of what I have been up to Everything from the t posts back was overgrown and had numerous trees and limbs down, making it impassible down both sides of the grapevine. Then I started Clearing off land to make room for the shop and house going to be built back here but it got too hot so I had to find another project so I decided to close off the carport and turn it in to a garage/temp work shop no I didnt lay the stone, but he should have laced the new in with the old And now that it is cooling back off I have resumed my clearing of the land though it is still alittle warm and in the evenings or when its wet ou I started refinishing the hot tub I bought Jamie For her birthday. bont laugh its sitting on a flat bed trailer so it can be moved out of the way when I mow and so it is out of the way when we start building the deck (next project) sorry for all the images guys I was meaning to do this all summer long and just kept forgeting, so now I have lots to post thanks for reading

  18. yeah they will rip you off and take your care if you arent careful. the problems with title loans and check advances, is that once you get your wages and go pay off your loan on their terms you must then take out another loan to pay the bills until the next time you get your wage check thats why the first loan is usually interest free or very reduced interest to get you sucked in. a few years ago I got tangled up in that web and it is very hard to recover from and get back on your feet
