Excessive force my ass. I married a Brazilian and I know as a fact that "a hot pursuit" is an every day ocurrence over there, they kill policeman like flies and whoever killed this drug dealer will eventually get killed.

I saw Lord today, he is doing a lot better. He is in good spirits and I don't blame him. The hot ( I mean it) nurses are pampering and taking very good care of him. We wanted to take a pic with the nurse together but she declined :-). Lord will not need skin grafts but a lot of "Dr. Pepper" instead.. I know....weird but true, I brought some with me today. He has found a place for his furniture to be and he's got some good friends helping him getting back on his feet. His Mon and sister, who live in Toronto, about 5000KM from here, are always phoning and asking how he is doing. Lord truly appreciates all your messages and good wishes. If any of you wants Lord's address please PM me and I will give it to you. Don't send flowers, anything else is allowed. ;-) Are there any other Canadians in the Lower Mainland? Can't help wondering....Lord might suck as a player but he's a great guy and a very dedicated Adm Cheers Joe

He doesn't have any internal burns (lungs, throat, stomach) but he needs to be fed, at least for now...

I just came back from the hospital. Lord's situation is precarious, he has been evicted from his house and will spend at least 5 weeks at the hospital, plus he will need surgery(ies) and 6 months of rehab. He has third degree burns and things look pretty grim right now. He is sedated and taking heavy duty narcotics. He doesn't want anyone raising funds to help him but he will probably need some help finding a new house and moving in. I will take care of that when the time comes. One thing I can tell you all per sure, is that he loves the clan and he appreciates all the messages wishing him a quick recovery. If there are any XI's in the Lower Mainland willing to help in the future, let me know, I am sure we can give him a hand. I gave Lord my XI hat but he wasn't allowed to wear it for a picture just as a precaution. Hopefully, next time I visit we will take that picture. Joe e Cheers Joe
