Has there been any progress toward have member passwords for the BFBC2 servers? I have had a hard time getting into the Squad Deathmatch server lately.

Do you have your game settings set to "Automatic Download"? Are the other sites you play on modded? Is the game dowloading the mod and maps and then crashing? If dowloading is an issue, try the XI downloader. Are you getting an error message? If so, what is it?

fireurza - setting up a joystick i tried setting up my joystick the other day so i can fly with it but instead of working inverted like a normal aircraft it was regular.... imagine my surprise as i try pointing nose down by pushing forward only to get a glimpse of the sky as i crash nose up There is a check box in the game setting that will let you reverse the axis. It seems Amboy has his joystick set to go both ways.

I should be able to play. Count me in.

As EA would say, “This is a know issue and we are working on a solution”. I have not been able to add favorite servers since the 2nd update. The bottom line is the server browser sucks big fuzzy donkey balls. All we can do is hope that EA fixes the issue before 2012 when the world blows up. Oh yea......Cheese, thanks for dropping the helicopter on my head today.

Is there a server setting that will auto balance the teams in BFBC2? There have been a few occasions when the teams are way out of balance. Then, either no one switch teams or too many people switch teams and the game won’t allow you to switch back. I have seen a lot of players leave because it is not fun being outnumbered 2 to 1.

There are still issues….. After the latest update, I can no longer see or find servers in the server browser. The ones I have in my favorites (all 2 of them) show up and update, but no others. Gooooooooooooo EA!

When I have been able to play, it has been awesome. My main problems now: I cannot add any favorite servers, my server History is blank and the server browser does not show the server pings. So, it seems the connectivity is still an issue. Hopefully the server maintenance scheduled for EA today will fix some, if not all, of this.

O.K. I ventured out and purchased Battlefield Bad Company 2. After a lengthy install I got to play about 30 minutes before I had to stop make the kids breakfast. NOW I CANNOT CONNECT TO ANY SERVERS. Apperantly this is a widespread known problem. Does anyone have any info on what EA is doing to correct the connection issue. I have read through a few post at the EA forums, but most of the posts are just people bitching.

I don't think you can go from 1.4 to 1.7. You need to install the patches between first. In other words, install all the patches in order.

Thanks WANTED. Get this.... Windows7 64 ran a few auto updates over night and the pings are back to normal. I am not even going to try and figure it out.

Lately my in game ping is double what it once was. I usually connect with a ping between 50 and 60. For the past week or so, my ping stays around 100. This is the same for COD5 Ace, COD4 Ace and Server 1 Freeze tag. Has anyone else noticed this? Nothing has changed on my computer. No new software or Hardware. Just thought I would ask before I called my provider.
