We just all wanted to have your real name handy so we could stalk you more easily.

I also run max settings on all games, including Mass Effect 3, MW3, and Rage (Rage is awesome, btw.). I run at 1900x1200.

I have the 560ti; flat out awesome card.

Hey Boomer, do you make your buildings separately and add them as prefabs, or do you just build them all in the same .map file?
-
Love the hotel looking building with the pool and lounge chairs. And a tunnel system so I can avoid pesky snipers. Nice.

FIrst one we owned as a family was a PC Junior. It came with 128kb of RAM, but we threw an expansion card on it to get it up to 256k. We ran a BBS in memory on it for three years called Propaganda. The first one I ever bought for myself was an IBM PS/2 55SX. 1mb of RAM, a 20mb HD and a lovely 13" SVGA monitor. I saved for over a year from my job as a short order cook in high school to afford it.

Just google cod4 mapping tutorials and you will find some. There are some good YouTube videos too. My mountain is done: Now I am working on a tunnel system: I am having major hassles making a junction area for the tunnels due to the curve patches.

I don't understand your post, Ruthless. Was that some kind of homosexual reference?

Been playing with texture patches and alpha blending:

Been trying to figure out the whole scripting thing. A little confusing with all the files. Did you do much scripting on your maps Boomer?

The reddish colored shots are from before I put the reflection probes in the map.

Getting the lighting down and messing with the textures on the rocks:

After playing with textures: Now to put in some grass and schtuff.

I just figured out alpha blending. God help me.

Like an idiot (yeah), I decided it would be cool to make a map. Two days, a case of beer and a bottle of scotch later, I finally have one that compiles. I still have a lot of work to do, and a lot of stuff to learn. Thankfully, the map editing tool is Radiant, which I used back in the day when I made Quake 2 maps. Why did I think this was a good idea, anyway?

I figured it would be nice to have a place to make comments about the new beta. Here are a few of my impressions after playing it for awhile: 1) the New SPA-12 shotgun is awesome. 2) the increased damage levels for all weapons renders Stopping Power perk useless. It also makes it a lot more difficult to play a run and gun game style because you die a lot faster and can't take damage like you used to. 3) Sniping will be very difficult with the slow recovery from breathing. Plus, I generally don't like the whole holding your breath thing anyway. 4) You can't blow up a car, but a helo is downed very easily. One car can thaw 3-4 people easy. All in all, I really like the mod and think it's very playable and a good time. I don't mind the increased damage on the weapons; it just means I need to adjust my playing style for the new mod a bit.

No turkeys. The weather did not cooperate at all. Oh well. I caught a couple of nice naps in my blind.

I make this pretty frequently. I use a dry rub on the chicken - some spice mixture I found on the interwebs made of brown sugar and a bunch of other stuff like cumin, chili powder, etc. I find that the type of beer I use can make a difference in overall flavor. I really like it with a Capitol Brewery Supper Club beer. For Easter this year I made two of them at the same time.

Any Fly-Fishing Enthusiasts Out There?
Bogleg replied to Wraith's topic in Hunting, Shooting, Fishing, Boating
I am a die-hard fly fisherman. SW Wisconsin has hundreds of miles of spring creeks filled with wild browns and brookies.
