The problem with that one AGX or whatever map is that it has too much fog, plus too much other stuff (water dripping, etc.) going on. In any case, I figured out the custom texture thing. Windows 7 sort of messes things up, because it wants to save files in the AppData area, and that is where it was saving my .gdt file, so it wasn't being found by Radiant when I loaded it. When I saved it into the source_data folder where COD4 is actually installed, then it worked fine. And so I have put my first couple in: PingLo's Mac poster and a little DrawSomething-esque pic of PingLo doing is favorite thing.

Now I have to figure out how to make custom textures. I have successfully created the .iwi file and all that jazz, but it won't show up in radiant for some reason. Not in my texture list. Argh.

How is this general layout: Agreed Exe. I will probably limit the spawns in some way. There is relief on the map via the terrain, so shooting from one spawn into another will probably not happen. I generally like to fog the map a little so it's hard to see that far anyway.

Awesome idea Sammy! I would love to make cells for certain players... hehe. If you have any posters you'd like in your cell, let me know. I already know that SOB wants a picture of Frenchi, and Frenchi of SOB....

I like it pancakes ... spreading the spawns across both islands like that. I think that is doable on the new version, but not on the older versions of ftag.

For the beta server, if it is in fact using TDM spawns, I could place spawn points for each team on two different parts of the X. So allied up top and axis down below, for example....

My initial plan was to make the water kill you - I was toying with the idea of making it so if you wanted to swim in it (but drown if you stay under too long) you could, but likely it will cause death. Spawn points, I thought, would be on opposite ends of the X. So one in the lower left, and one in the upper right... the I will be accessible via teleporter, and the teleporters will be equidistant from the spawns. The mansion in the center will be on a big hill so you can't see from one end of the X to the other. I was thinking that getting to the I would provide you teleporter options to get anywhere else on the X; so there is a reason to go there.

I don't see any problems with shooting on this mod or Chicago. If we were all playing on a LAN, maybe we could really narrow down if there are actually problems with hit boxes, etc., but we play on a server with players from all over the world with pings ranging from 30-300. I think you should just select China Lake and not worry about it, Cobra.
