Yesterday my pc wouldnt boot up,no POST,black screen, intermittant beeps, nothing so after a few attempts it finally booted but my OS only showed up 1 gig of ram instead of the usual 3 gig.So out came all and proceeded to check them all individually in slot 1 to which i found it would boot with 2 of the sticks and the above happened with the 3rd,so then i tried the 2 good ones together, booted up o.k but still only showing 1 gig in OS and gpuZ,now could this be bad ram or a MB problem?

If anyone can shed any light on the matter that would be great..

Thanks....batman-arkham-asylum-16417-wp.jpg

Google beep codes for your bios manufacture.

This will tell you what it is.

Did you also check all the memory slots? Could be a combination of bad memory (Which you found) and a bad motherboard RAM slot (maybe slot 2).

there are different ram make sure your ram works for your mother board. also try to keep it all the same. low density ram does not work in all mb's it will show up wrong in yer comp even thou you got it to boot.
