Ok, I've lived with World at War occasionally crashing on me. It's usually beween maps, but sometimes in the middle of a round. I can handle that, knowing my video is border line to handle the game. But tonight twice COD2 TDM crashed on me. This game has almost NEVER crashed on my system in years. Is anyone else having any issues in TDM? There seems to be a few more new maps, but one was in Matmata, which is a old map and never had issues. Not sure about DM, but haven't been there in a couple days.

I've crashed in TDM about 4 times in the last week. Glad I'm not the only one, thought it was my PC.

One thing I have found on COD5 for some reason or the other is that if the map files are not the same on the game server as they are on the redirect server it will make your game crash. I don't know why this is happening but I had to reload a few of the map files that people were complaining about and it seems to work.

People taking care of the map rotations has to check into this. Nothing you can do. Sorry

I'm experiencing all kinds of strange things in TDM. In addition to the occasional crashing, every time I start a new game I get an error box saying that this server is for low ping players only. This even though my ping is below 100. When I try it the second time it always goes right through.

Yeah Litlle old man, that problem i have for many years now.

But if it happens , i put the server in my favourites in cod2  , so i started then up without XFire.

This problem got the to by our ping at that time we log in to the server, it can't be helped unlesse we move closer to the central.

My ping is mostly between 100/150 but if it goes beyond 150 for one moment, then i have the same trouble as you, then i go the favo servers in cod2, that's where i have tdm also , when i click it one their. i mostly get in , the first time.

If someone know's how to lower are ping, we would gladly hear it lol.

Ok, so COD2 has crashed on me 3 times today but I haven't got a clue what to do about it. I went to the error reporting on my PC and this is what it says. Any of you geeks know what the hell this means if anything?

The "low ping only" deal is an xfire issue, when xfire is connecting while loading a map, it makes your ping look high.... but I just re-join the map & it always loads fine on the 2nd try.

I've had the same issue on the TDM server a couple times recently too, but most of the time it's fine.  Seems like my ping is 20-30 higher on the TDM than the DM server, but I'd think they are in the same place..... go figure.

I have the same issue with xfire,  it gives me the "low ping only" message. I try a second times and it works 99.9% of the time
