Hey Noears.... trust me, I come back, I keel YOU! I tried every which way (admin on/ off, compatibility, googled it tried several settings) & still COD2 just will NOT run right in Win 7 > - and gonna have to go garage-divin' for COD4. Anyway, gonna give it another shot......

'Sup, Idiots..... "Ferret" from days gone by just dropping in to say hello. Used to burden the COD2 & 4 servers a little bit. I had to kinda drop out of the online life there for a while, due to work/ kids/ work/ aging parents/ work/ life/ limited time/ work.... but I have many times missed gaming with you f'ing idiots. I flipped through the forums & saw a lot of familiar friends. I tried to load up COD2 from my old discs again a little while ago but it ain't a workin'. Can't even find the COD4 discs. I'm gonna try to get this loaded up again here & try to get a bash or two. Slappin' Pete and Bart and Spanky around (especially Slowpoke Spanky, lol) used to be such good therapy. Anyhoo, good to see you guys are still at it, still an awesome site/clan - and hopefully I'll be able to embarrass you again soon with the knife, or a slap a gun stock up da back o' yo' head [as BigMeanDean once said, "bullets are for pussies"] > Ferret

It kills me that a bunch of no-talent bitches make millions & get famous on American Idol... while talented guys like this work for dollars on Bourbon Street. This guys plays with his whole body.... a home-made bass contraption with his right foot, percussion with his left foot, both hands on a guitar, great harmonica around his neck.... and sings a classic-jazz medly (Lord Send Me An Angel/ Crow Jane)...... all by himself. A TRUE one-man band. I can harldy play guitar & tap my foot at the same time. I'd rather listen to this guy than all the American Idols putzes put together:

This country has me scared and I want as much info as possible. thanks ferret Roger that.... it is a pretty thick book & has a lot of economist jargon in it, but the author (Griffin) also explains to where the average person can understand it (one reason it is so long). I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics (no bullshit, I really do) - but I admit that I did NOT learn HALF as much about *true* economics in the gov't-funded public university I graduated from, as I did from this book. Not so sure that isn't intetnionally by design. Have you noticed that the EXACT SAME things keep happening, over & over & over again? Debt/ war/ debt/ gov't programs/ debt/ shrinking middle class/ debt. It doesn't matter whether Democrats or Republicans control Congress or the White House. Bush or Obama. You'd *THINK* by watching either MSNBC of FoxNews - that there is a big "philosophical battle" going on between the parties... but there is NOT. That's just what Big Money WANTS you to think, because it masks the fact that they own BOTH parties and are getting what they want, regardless of which party supposedly "runs things". The Federal Reserve (a small kabal of uber-wealthy bankers) makes money... BIG money... by "loaning" the U.S. gov't money. But it is "virtual money" (called "fiat money")... money that DOES NOT EXIST in any way, shape, or form. They "loan" money that doesn't exist - which requires no actual "investment" on their behalf..... yet they make interest from it. They make BIG money - by "loaning" money that they never actually "loan". A no-risk investment, that pays of BIG TIME for them. They are allowed (legally, by gov't) to control the money supply, to control interest rates, to control the dollar valuation, to control exchange rates.... yet they answer to NO ONE. Not Congress, not the President, no one. They are "independent", controlled by no one, yet they control the life blood of the country. It is the biggest fucking SCAM in human history ( and that is NOT an exaggeration), and most American voters have no frikkin' idea that it is even happening, because the media is OWNED by the people making the money, and are distracted & pacified by partisan Republican/Democrat bickering, which is utterly pointless. A-freakin'-men. Personally, I think it is the wild growth of the internet & cable. Don't get me wrong, the internet & cable aren't inherently "bad" things. But with the massive proliferation of alternatives, "news" agencies and media have to get more extreme & provocative, to get the attention (aka: ratings) that used to come easy when there were fewer alternatives. To media, ratings = profit or loss, life or death (as an entity). What has happened, is that media outlets have targeted certain specific audiences, as media consumers are very partitioned into specific groups with specific interests. Sex sells, violence & confrontation sells, partisanship sells - and demand drives supply in the mass-media market. While I agree that the media has devolved into shit.... all they are doing is serving up what the people want. I think it is more of a reflection of people's declining expectations & floundering societal morality than anything else. And the same is true all over the world, NOT just here.
