Well right off hand when you drag a file onto the ddstoiwi converter it likes to save it in the original folder that your converter is in. Did you try a HD search for that file ? If you can't find it you can make a folder on your desktop call it what you want and drag the iwitodds and the ddstoiwi  .exe into that folder. Now open the folder and drag your dds onto the converter and the converted file should be in that folder.  Good Luck

The files are all in one folder. That wasn't the problem.

Now I have it.

I didn't choose a compression when I save the file with gimp, that was the failure. Now I choose "BC1 / DXT1" as compression ..... and it works... Laughing

Anyway... Thanks for your help..

Do you mean a custom texture that you place on a wall ? If so here's a good tut. Hit me up on xfire and if you need help I'll run through it with you.

no I can make a wall texture and works fine but I can not place any decals on that wall unless I keep it one unit off the wall so it's just floating there if I put it on the wall directly it disappears

Ah cod2 doesn't have the .25 grid. Select the wall duplicate it turn it into nodraw or your texture and then place it right back on top of the texture you duplicated and make it 1 unit big. Keeping it flush withthe other texture. Does that work ?

If you go here and scroll down to number 3 those would be the settings I use. I'm sorry I don't use Gimp.

You might want to search the net for Photo Shop 7. Its an illegal down load but they don't care about it anymore so its really easy to get and does the best job for you.
