This German fashion designer has taken the "Clip, Clop" sound of high heels to a whole new level.

Iris Schieferstein creates "taxidermy shoes" by surrounding a shoe model with the skin/hoof of dead animals.

She says, "I love horses and I love shoes so I thought this would be perfect. Horses have a beautiful walk and I wanted to recreate that with my footwear."

She started her business 12 years ago after taking carcasses from her local butcher and sewing them into shoes. The shoes are about $5,500 a pair and have been used by the queen of weird, Lady Gaga. Not surprisingly, most of her shoes can only be worn for a couple of hours because, as one would imagine, walking in a horse's hoof is not at all comfortable. -Robert Frawley
