Rather than pay them any more money, I have decided to switch to a non-Windows tablet but one of my specific needs is to be able to get images from a camera onto the tablet (for Facebook etc.). No tablets I have yet encountered have a SDHC slot but I gather that USB OTG together with a suitable file manager app should do the job if I link the tablet to the camera's USB port with a cable. Any comments and views based on experience would be welcomed. Apple's just too darned expensive so I expect to go for an Android model and Nexus 7 is looking good so far. Awards

It runs samsung's flavor of android though so I can answer any questions you might have about android... or general tablet usage.

I think I've heard of those before. I would research the effect it has on battery life though.... Also, most new cameras have wifi built in so considering the cost of an Eye Fi, you might also look at just getting an new camera.

I have a galaxy note 2 and LOVE it. I have an iPad, but I can't seem to do anything with pictures, even when they are on the bloody thing. The note 2 is a fantastic piece of equipment, for a phone, fills all my needs, and the S pen is a bonus add on. And everything is connected with a USB. Works great, and still fits in your pocket! eidolonFIRE 1

I'm not angling for tablet recommendations. Awards

Now I know.. I use my android phone to "tether" to my iPad, via wifi but haven't used USB to USB on any device. I imagine it would be fairly simple with a smart phone, there must be some app for that. I will try to find one for my noteII
