And the are way overpriced.... And you see 11 people working in the kitchen... And another 13 tending the tables... And you have to wait 45 minutes to get a table, in spite of your reservation... And when you finally get to the table, 8 dollars don't buy you anything but a glass of house wine... And $7.50 a can of (local ) beer And when the main course arrives... You get 2 microscopic pieces of steak, 5 Brussels sprouts and 1 potato divided in two for a dish called :Steak Dianne... Who the fuck is Dianne? And why is she so cheap? And the kicker.... You leave the restaurant. You were a guest, so no worries about paying the bill... But you end up driving 2 hours looking for an open restaurant in Downtown Vancouver, or Burnaby because you ARE starving And they all turn you down because they close at 11:00PM (WTF?) on a Saturday...and its 10:45pm So you end up having chicken wings at a sports bar with your underage kids, your 20 year old daughter and your wife... At around midnight... True story... and the moral is... I hate fucking Brussels sprouts or "choux de Bruxelles" They that taste like crap, and they are not a broccoli, not a cabbage, or a cauliflower, they are Brussels sprouts.. And Steak Dianne is an American Dish not French lol Awards

She is associated with wild animals so a good choice, Joe! I have always favoured Italian restaurants, personally, though pasta isn't my thing. I always seem to get a good meal, including steak. The Brussels sprouts, unless you are a heart patient, are very good for you and were taken to North America by French settlers. They are an essential vegetable at the English Christmas Dinner.
