It is Day 10 of no video games. I have focused more on schoolwork, but the need to fool around and have fun is still there. I have read almost two books in the last week, but once I finish this one, I'll need to find something else to read. I do not have a TV in my dorm room, so all I have is teamspeak and xfire. I drive home every weekend to work, but sit at my desk at night with my cod4 cd right in front of me. I have little to no self-control when it comes to deciding to do schoolwork before gaming anymore. I have always procrastinated and done work at the last minute, and that is actually when I do my best work, but it is very stressful. I want to keep my promise and not play again until Spring Break, but it's really tough.

Anyway, do any of you idiots know any good books to read?

If you like Fantasy, read the Wheel of time series by Robert Jordan.  There are a bunch of books in the series... (13 or more) and they are well worth the read.  here is a link.  look art book # 6 title... lol and you will know where i got my gaming name.

I know what you mean mate. I used to have the same problem.

Somehow over the past couple years video games lost their lure for me... I don't enjoy playing them unless I'm playing with friends. So, I just never play unless I'm with yall or other friends. Problem solved.

Hang is there mate. Just remember that it's all in your head. You only think that you want to play the game... nothing is making you. The longer you resist, the easier it gets.

So, I decided to install cod4 again. No sense in driving myself insane. I need to conquer procrastination and I can't do it without playing at all. I understand what is at risk this semester and I have not lost sight of my goal. This game makes me happy and not having it was kind of depressing. See you all in the servers.

P.S. - Kick me from the servers if I play past midnight, EST lol. Sleep is good!

Anything by Guy Gavriel Kaye. At least 3 of his books are in my top 10 favourites of all time.
