Everything worked until 2 days ago and the only thing I have changed is installing COD5. I normally play COD2 and currently I have to play on speakers with no mic. I have tried reloading the software, using a webcam mic (also by Logitech), reconfiguring drivers, unplugging and replugging and still no mic. I open the control panel, select hardware and sound, select sound, check off G35 and then Windows won't allow me to "apply". Apply stays faded grey. I'm fairly tech savvy and can usually figure out most comp issues but this one has me baffled. Any ideas? Thanks
 Awards

I've chosen the G35 in the control panel but COD2 doesn't have a level.
 Awards

Then test your headphone sound by trying different settings. When you find a setting that works make it your DEFAULT setting. Then go to the recording setting and double click on the STEREO MIX and enable it, then set your microphone setting to listen while you play with different settings till you hear yourself speak , then select it as DEFAULT (enable it) I had problems too, until I enabled the Stereo mix. I hope this helps
 Awards

I eventually set the default playback and recording devices to be my headset, so whenever it is plugged in, it automatically switches to that, when I disconnect, it switches back to main speakers.
