map folders

hey guys I have like 8 gb of maps in cod2, 6 gb in cod4,  I have never cleaned up my map files ever, and I know there are alot of old maps no longer in use, how do I go about, and what do I delete, I would like to do away with all maps and start fresh  and redl the current maps

there are just abunch of maps that probably wont be used in current form anymore     most of them

They might not be in the current map rotation but they might just be readded depending on the mood of said admins. So you would just be reloading them instead of admin hunting,

i run downloader a few time a week I dont mind re downlaoding as needed but that folder needs to be cleaned. i have a problem in my folder as all maps I dopwn load through the dlder I usually  have to redl them in game, every map it seems on cod2. the cod4 folder I can see being correct. as there are alot of servers and maps but 8 gb in maps for cod2 I think is alittle much.

I don't know my world at war folder is 11.4 gig with an additional 5.3 gig of maps. But if you don't mind reloading the maps sure toss them I also do love the start fresh idea. Just seems like a waste of bandwith . Maybe take them out of the folder and place them in a back up folder.

ohhh great news  just got notice from isp that fiber is now ready and we get 10 meg instead of 3 meg for the same price

For cod4 go to C:\Program Files (Program Files (x86) for 64 bit)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps.  Delete all the folders within, NOT the usermaps folder itself.
