Age is only a number. It’s being happy with your self that counts.

Use to be able to find the electronics flow chart for setting the sensors and other components of the engine management system by just using a good quality multi meter. As long as there was nothing wrong with the ECU it was easy to reset all the components for the computer to run the engine correctly. But they have now tied just about everything you can think of to run through it to where it’s a pain to get the operational flow chart of just the section that you need to work on and adjust. There are after market pieces that you can get that will let you into those controls, but won’t tell you if something as simple as a idle air control module is out of adjustment or not working. It use to be so simple.

I have always kept my cars till they became more of a pain to keep them going and being dependable. I have always had a job that required a lot of wheel time. I am in my 6th car since I started driving 45 years ago. In that time the lowest mileage any of the cars I got rid of was at 90,000 miles. The rest where in the 250,000 to 320,000 range. Only got rid of the one with the low mileage one was when the dealership had to replace a cam shaft that the engine decided it didn’t like ( was under warranty). They did the replacement with the engine still installed in the car. All the metal from the camshaft and lifters that was ground up over the year as it slowly went out was left in the engine. They never cleaned it out. After a huge fight I was given a huge discount on a new car. Otherwise all my cars are driven till the time and cost of it being down isn’t worth it

It’s was easy to politicize it when living in CA. When at its worse CA because of there policies had ships waiting off shore for up to 5 months to unload there cargo. The SF bay was a huge parking lot so they mandated they stay off shore till room opened up. In the mean time they were working over the truckers every way they could slowing down the whole process of unloading. And even now with all that went in there passing laws that will remove thousands of trucks from operation in CA when they are needed the most to distribute the cargo. All part of them wanting to go green with out think8ng is f the affect it has on our supply chain

What’s sad is CA gives them so many free hand outs it only brings in more of them from other states. Have lived here my whole life and have watched the democrats destroy this state for the last 40 years of them being in control with all there hand outs and programs. Crime has increased to a level I thought I’d never see here are would have even dreamed possible in a country of laws

Been using dewalt cordless tools since they came out probably close to 30 years ago. The new breed of tools Batteries suck. The lifespan is nowhere near what the old 18v systems were.

Did anyone hear about some food shortage???

I am seeing the quality of some items going down in the produce sections. I also stocked up on flour and vacuum packed it. I live in CA but months ago there was worry about the wheat crops in the Ukraine affecting the world supply. My wife’s cousin in Greece s saw a bit of a shortage of flour in the stores there so I figured it doesn’t hurt to store some as long as they are sealed tight
