  1. Thanks, Rockape. That is much better.
  2. No surprises here, then! http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/11/21/modern-warfare-3-vs-battlefield-3-the-results
  3. This may help you... http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/11/02/battlefield-3-how-to-fly-helicopters and how about this one? LOL! http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/11/07/battlefield-3-pro-tips-1-advanced-air-combat-guide
  4. I have a bottle of champagne left over from Christmas but I am with Harry. This year was no more awful than we expect next year to be so there's very little, if anything, to celebrate... The forecast for London is wet - hope that doesn't dampen down the usual big firework display that we shall watch on TV if we're still awake.
  5. ROCKAPE I want all the maps on. As it is we only have 13. !!! if people dont like the maps we are running then find somewhere else to play. +1 !!!
  6. Nick, are you running this on a 32-bit system? If you are, the following memory allocation fix may help you: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654489539637056/last/ It did the trick for me (but I also shut down all non-essential programs and processes before trying to play).
  7. Welcome, CptCanada!
  8. There you go, Chile - your riot shield sessions are safe! LOL!
  9. SkunK|NL Red card was overturned and the game will be play again without public and started with 0-0 That idiot attack the goalkeeper so no problem for me that he kicked him , selfdefense If he'd have left the pitch invader alone after tripping him, I expect he would have perhaps continued to play? It shows what a tough job referees have occasionally.
  10. I've never been one to place importance in New Year Resolutions, personally. To my mind, if something needs doing, you do it; if it doesn't, you don't. However, last year was different. 2011 promised to be a difficult year and I'm thankful those certain difficulties were lessened to a degree as the year progressed and, as a family, we rode out a critical time rather well. I promised myself and my wife that it was my intention to grab hold of every ounce of joy that might present itself and I surely did. We had some good times! New Year's Eve is now less a time to celebrate leaving a bad year behind and more a time to brace oneself for the next but I'm going to think and do as I have done during 2011. The main thing to avoid is anxiety - don't worry about things over which you have no control whatsoever. They'll happen and one will deal with them when/if they do as best as one can and with the support of family and friends. I bear in mind Matthew 6:34 (quoted from the New American Standard version of The Bible - easier to understand): "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." I wish you, Dean, and all here, a contented and peaceful New Year.
  11. For the background tabloid newspaper story see http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2079498/British-angler-Jeremy-Wade-snares-fish-killed-2-men-biting-testicles.html There's actually a local interest here as, in June 2010, a local angler caught one of these tropical freshwater fish in a local fishing pond! The only explanation was that the fish was a discarded pet that had outgrown its tank. The message has to be, if you wade in rivers to fish where they could be pacu, wear chest waders reinforced with kevlar around the wedding tackle!
  12. It isn't without precedent in England (though this example is not so overtly violent). See "Dorchester Town Football Club has appealed against a red card shown to their player-manager for tackling a pitch invader dressed in a mankini." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12717223
  13. Due to usage restrictions, the site won't display the video but it has been on the TV news here too. I don't know how repeatedly kicking a man on the ground could be thought of as "self-defence", personally... It certainly is "violent conduct" and the ref only had one sanction available under the laws of the game - the red card. Footballers need to learn a little self-restraint. Here's another video:
  14. eidolon - Sniping Tip Oh, and another thing I've noticed is that most people will stop what their doing and go out of their way to kill a sniper if they see one up in a good position with tons of line-of-sight. Oh yes, we just "love" snipers... Think of it as a bonus that, if you snipe me, I shall make it my mission to hunt you down and relieve you of your dog tags! I have to get some claymores and C4 as pure knifing is a bit tame sometimes.
  15. Enjoy the day, 'Swift!
  16. Mazdarati MARKOFF>XI< - can't find bf3 xi servers ? hi all just got the game and can't see our servers in the server brower ?? and can't find any where to add ip address? idiot asking lol I'm having the same issue Markoff 1. On the main Battle Log screen click "Configure server filter": 2. Make sure the boxes to the left of the game names - Battlefield 3 etc. - have been ticked. In the white text box below, labeled "FILTER BY SERVER NAME", type (minus quote marks) "XTREMEIDIOTS" then click on "REFRESH AND SAVE FILTER". 3. You should now be looking at a (short) list of game servers! Click on each of the servers in turn to highlight them then (underneath the big yellow button that says "JOIN SERVER") click the small grey button that says "ADD AS FAVOURITE". 4. The XI servers will then be available when you click the Favourites tab at the top. Hope that helps. If you're still stuck, feel free to hit me up on TeamSpeak or XFire.
  17. I got this present from my family on Christmas Day... This just goes to show that we lucky ones can, regardless of the time of year, rely upon those nearest to us to sort out the sh*t in our lives!
  18. Israel's time zone is GMT + 2 so it is official... "Hallelujah! The King Is Here!" May He bless you all mightily...
  19. A special festive greeting to a special fellow who brought me to XI nearly two years ago and to whom I owe a great debt. Hermano, Feliz Navidad! I wish you and your family the most joyous Christmas and send greetings across the Big Pond! Heck, there's even scope for a ((((MAN HUG)))) here (but NO tongues! ) Thank you, Chile, for all you do for this clan and for your most valued friendship. May you and yours enjoy good health and good fortune during 2012, my brother! In other words... Take it away Mr Bublé...
  20. Sonovabich Bollocks! LOL!
  21. There's no doubt about it - millions of crimes will be committed tomorrow as the British nation celebrates Christmas! During our brief period as a Republic, ruled by the Lord Protector, Oliver Cromwell, he decided that eating mince pies on Christmas Day should be made an offence and this law has never been repealed! Other ridiculous laws still in force (not enacted by republicans) are: It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament; It could be regarded an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British king or queen's image upside-down; In the UK, a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants; The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the King, and the tail of the Queen; It is illegal not to tell the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing; It is illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament wearing a suit of armour. (Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/7081038.stm ; verified by the BBC.) Happy Christmas to all miscreants!
  22. Bigmeandean Hmmm Nick I do understand your feelings but your bucking centuries of pompous tradition! I know there iks a much different feeling in Britain now than there was even 2 tears ago. I'm wondering if there is enough of a change in the media public to accept such change! I am always interested to see how so many people from the many countries that make up our members truly feel about these kinds of things! Dean, I was in her service for 34 years, holding her royal warrant for 30 of them as one of her constables. There is not a single person alive in this country of ours who has dedicated their lives so completely to its service, having been thrust into the role at a very young age through the sad death of her father, George VI. She has my love, respect and loyalty and I have two medals with her image on them of which I am proud. Monarchy is the glue that binds this divided country together - our focal point in times of crisis or celebration. I don't know or understand what "superior" system or Head of State the detractors would substitute for our Sovereign but I can guarantee that it would not get near the constitutional monarchy in terms of safeguards and absolute political independence. It has worked for 900 years and may it do so for another 900! I'm saddened that some appear to lack compassion for a sick 90 year-old who has also served his country in war (Royal Navy) and peace for so long. The next building on our Christmas tour of royal establishments is the Tower of London. (You can see the former entrance to Traitors' Gate as the bricked up arch on the river bank.) God Save The Queen and Happy Christmas!
  23. British news sources report that HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the husband of HM The Queen, has undergone surgery to clear a blocked coronary artery. As he is 90 years old, the news of his removal to a specialist hospital in Cambridge, by helicopter, from the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, was a cause of some concern but the reports suggest a successful procedure to insert a 'stent'. He is expected to remain in hospital for a few days. Full story at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16323794 Sandringham House is the traditional Christmas retreat of the Royal Family and is privately owned by the monarch. For those who fancy a quick tour, I've found a video for you. Let us hope that the prince makes a full and speedy recovery! 2012 is a hugely significant year for the UK as Queen Elizabeth will have been on the throne for 60 years! Long May She Reign!
