  1. The Universe is a large place - so large that it is difficult to appreciate how big it is. This is a neat little educational tool that should inform adults and children alike. Enjoy! http://images.4channel.org/f/src/589217_scale_of_universe_enhanced.swf
  2. Hehehe! Good one! (No hecklers in this show, eh?)
  3. I'd attribute this to "pandora" whatever that is... I have no doubt that "ghosts" exist but I am confident they are not roaming spirits of the deceased. Rather, I think they are just manifestations of cracks within chronos time - images of what has been (or will be) leaking into our present. I'm going to Chester soon - in Roman times this place was known as Dewa and was one of the most important centres in Britannia. Roman legionaries have been observed marching through basements (and walls) there in recent times! I have seen just one "ghost" in over 50 years on this planet - freaked me out and, yes, ones hair does stand on end!
  4. (The commentary on this is appalling as the commentator comes from Manchester and cannot enunciate clearly so apologies to viewers baffled by what what this fellow is trying to say. He isn't chewing gum - everyone from that city sounds much the same...) The theme is how to eliminate a threat (in this case a likely sniper so much more entertaining!).
  5. For your personal wellbeing, please heed the following advice...
  6. No tears here, Boss.
  7. Shamu If any teenager on graduating high school is unsure of what direction there life is going military service is a great option. Maturity can be gained, skills learned and a good reference for employment after completion of service. Who knows, it might even turn out to be a career move. Forgive me, Shamu, but your advice is based on life experience that is decades old and its relevance to today's world is not assured. Whilst employers may, indeed, look on military service as a plus, employment in civvy street for ex-servicemen is not guaranteed. Our "vets'" support organisation - The Royal British Legion - supports many ex-servicemen who don't make it when they take off the uniform. The nature of the asymmetric warfare in which our modern armed forces find themselves, together with their reduced numbers, greatly increases the threat of death or serious injury and the lamentable support they receive both in theatre and back on home territory means it is a career no parent will or should recommend to their offspring even in the unlikely event that the mission is considered to be justified or true defence of the nation (which recent conflicts certainly have not been). One does not need a gun in ones hand to make a difference in this world. A stethoscope or healing medications are more powerful weapons for positive change.
  8. Congratulations to our HRH Prince Henry of Wales on passing the Apache helicopter course as top of the class! Now, Prince Harry, go get some! Prince Harry will return to Afghanistan after qualifying yesterday as a front line Apache attack helicopter pilot. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/theroyalfamily/9070589/Prince-Harry-to-return-to-front-line.html
  9. I want to know where the spy camera was...
  10. Another idea from GameSprout if use of a knife, claymore or C4 isn't possible...
  11. Sonovabich I'm happy the way it is now, some maps too many vehicles spoil it a bit, shorter respawn time will make it feel like there are even more of them, let the infantry have a breather now and again. +1

  14. hxtr SgtHarryWeezer Send me $1,000, and I will send you a notarized statement to the effect that I will sign over to you all of my real property in whatever form it is, if it is proven beyond any scientific doubt whatsoever that there exist ghosts, alien spacecraft or creatures, Susquatch; gods of any stripe, Loch Ness monster, vampires, werewolves, the devil, dragons, psychics, mind readers, demons, etc., etc., and etc., ad nauseum. Harry my father being OSI... well they had this guys who claimed to be a psychic an had been helping them out on a case. They did a demonstration. They brought hin into a hotel room. They asked him to describe something in the next room adjacent to that one... He pointed out a painting and described it in detail. I was not there so I can't confirm but my father was sold. interest if anything. Let me see if I can guess what kind of undies Chile is wearing........... 17. UnChileno RD Its viral bullshit that someone started and running it into the ground. There was one video of it being heard in this little community in Alberta,Ca (Conklin) and just so happens I have a close pal that lives there. When I sent him the video he recognized the one guy in it and confronted him and the guy said he had no damn idea what the hell they were talking about and that someone dubbed over their "hunting" video with the "sounds" crap. So go figure right? Great Thxs RD..There goes my piano lessons...JERK!!!! So you don't think this is the seven trumpets of Revelation, 8?

  19. Frankly, f*ck us, fella! You make sure you keep that head down and those f*ckin' eyes open whilst you are in that sh*t hole of a country. Come back to us and those you love more in one piece - promise us all that. I converted to Catholicism, three years ago, and, before my confirmation, was asked to choose a confirmation name (of a saint) - for me it was easy: Michael - patron saint of paratroopers, soldiers and police officers. I'll ask him to keep an eye out for you! "The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul." Psalm 121:7
  20. Pleased to read that you enjoy our company - we are the Idiots! Look forward to seeing you on the battlefield, maybe with a knife or explosives but always with a laugh!
  21. Sorry, Chkn, but Belgian beers are not to my taste. When I can find it in the shop, I buy Thormbridge Jaipur IPA (5.9%). When I cannot, I buy Marston's Old Empire IPA. I am also a drinker of Fuller's London Pride. Did you know that, in 1814, there was a beer flood in London that killed a number of people? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Beer_Flood http://www.thornbridgebrewery.co.uk/thornbridge-beers.php
