I had the same issue and it was a loose connection in my mouse. In the end I had to throw it away and buy a replacement When it would disconnect then reconnect my motion would be really slow. I would have to go in the options and increase my mouse sensitivity. Then it would do the same thing and go back to the original setting meaning I now had a super sensitive mouse making gaming impossible My 2 cents

just create a shortcut on the desktop one of two ways 1. right click on the desktop and select create shortcut in the "type location" select browse and browse to the application icon (Hacklehaus's path works for 7), if you are still old fashioned like me and using XP it will be C:\program files\Activision\Call of Duty World at War\codwawMP.exe (not sure if that is the file - I dont have WaW installed in this laptop) 2. Navigate to the same file and right click and drag the file onto your desktop. When you let go select the option "create shortcut" and you are all set Just make sure you select the MP file, not the SP file for the single player, unless that is what you want Hope this helps -
Welcome back Bush!! Aint computer problems a bitch And why aren't you sharing those pain meds - I could use some over here Seriously, I hope your wife is doing ok, that's some heavy shit you are both dealing with. I wish you both the best And definitely kill that Doctor. I had the same issue with my ex-wife recently. He scared her so much with concerns about pancreatic cancer (which is always fatal and usually inoperable) and after a million tests a different doctor said it was only ovarian cysts and nothing really serious, although I wouldn't like to catch that shit!!! Hang in there bro

The worst thing is the Germans saw this coming and tried to ban the day traders from oil speculation back in 2008 when the prices were climbing and climbing the last time. They blamed manipulation of the market by hedge funds - thank you deregulation

Top drinking countries in the world

Another thing to realize - the litres are measured as pure ethyl alcohol. The alcohol content of a drink is its "proof" divided by 2. So if you want to drink 1 litre of alcohol in the form of, say, Budweiser (gag) you would have to drink 40 litres of it. -
Pity it only goes back to 2002. It would be interesting to compare when I entered college to now

While the blaze is very informative it only tells one side of the story, the ultra conservative side (Glenn Beck). The problem is that there are crooks and losers on both sides of the fence. The dems just don't have the rabid attack dogs like Beck and Limbaugh. I actually consider myself a little more republican than democrat but people like them are a cancer in our society and they make me sick to my stomach with their 100% completely biased views. Extremists are on both sides and unfortunately the political landscape is so polarized right now, no one in the "middle" stands a chance. This country was built on compromise and negotiation and some of the most influential political leaders of the past knew how to reach across the aisle and engage the other side to get things done. That is not the case anymore, case in point - the budget impasse. The radicals and extremists of both parties playing "king of the Hill" at our expense. It is true our country is going down the tubes and to be honest, it is difficult to see it stopping. Once you roll a huge boulder down a hill, try stopping it. It takes a huge force of will and not too many people in this country have the stomach for that fight. It would basically take a revolution like the one that happened 250 years ago. The problem here is the incumbent government has one of the most sophisticated, technologically advanced military at its disposal to quell any uprising against and you would be sure they would not hesitate to use it. Not one of the worthless bastards we have in power right now will want to relinquish the power and money they have. We are bowing to illegal immigrants instead of throwing them in jail or back over the border. We are allowing religions that have clear agendas against the "West" to not only flourish here, but develop "home grown" terrorists. We are allowing the chinese to basically beat us into the ground financially, yet we always run to the aid of every country that has any kind of humanitarian or natural crisis, even though very few of them are ever grateful and still continue to hate us, and we leave people on our own streets to starve while we send food to countries on the other side of the world. Darn you Dean, you got me ranting again - it doesn't happen very often. I will put my soap box away and crack a handful of cold ones then everything will seem fine, at least for an evening!!!!!

Bushape Are you sure your computer is ok. I would venture to say that if this "antivirus" virus follows the Windows XP viruses and such there most likely will be some dormant crap on your computer buried real deep. My now ex-wife got the same crap on her laptop a couple of years ago and in the end the only way to 100% resolve it was to reformat the HD and reload the XP from scratch. BTW, Baku, AJ means Baku, Azerbaijan which should tell you how much luck you might have getting your money back. They 90% of these scam viruses come from Russia or old Russian republics. As to PayPal, I used to use them and was lucky to have no issues, but I stopped using it when on of my friends got butt-raped really bad by them. They locked out his account with close to 3k in it and by the time he got the account unlocked (6 months) most of the money was gone in "charge-backs". PayPal was started as a way to safely buy stuff on the internet without revealing your credit card or bank information to a complete stranger, but they have turned their back on the sellers and seem to favor the merchants and receivers. I am sorry to hear about your situation. I don't even think the "expert" testimony will help you, but perhaps you should give it a try. Good luck

I wish I could go to the XI fest. The worst thing is, for me, it is only around a 3 hour drive, so I have no excuse, except not being able to get time off work to go. Perhaps I can stop by and at least say hi to everyone that weekend. I really have to find a way to be on the west side of MI that weekend and scoot down to IN. I used to brew my own beer back in England in the late 70s, early 80s but I was never very succesful at it. It always came out tasting like crap!!! Maybe it is easier now. Perhaps I should try again. -
Interesting statistics - what surprises me are two countries known for alcohol, Germany and Australia, don't even make the top 20 list Actually it looks like Eastern Europe takes the prize as the biggest consumers of alcohol in the world (Andorra and Moldova look like "party" countries as all 5 people must regularly get drunk (actually there are around 85,000 residents in Andorra) The numbers are "liters per person per year" by the way 20. Netherlands 13.25 19. Slovakia 13.33 18. Denmark 13.37 17. UK 13.37 16. France 13.66 15. Ireland 14.41 14. Portugal 14.55 13. South Korea 14.8 12. Lithuania 15.03 11. Croatia 15.11 10. Belarus 15.13 9. Slovenia 15.19 8. Romania 15.3 7. Andorra 15.48 6. Estonia 15.57 5. Ukraine 15.6 4. Russia 15.76 3. Hungary 16.27 2. Czech Republic 16.45 1. Moldova 18.22 Interesting countries by comparison 24. Germany 12.81 45. Australia 10.02 57. USA 9.44 49. Canada 9.77 And in last place (no surprise its a Muslim country as alcohol is not normally allowed in that religion) 188. Yemen 0.02

Why English is so difficult to learn
NickTheGrip replied to NickTheGrip's topic in Jokes and Misc stuff
What else is strange about the English language? Well, how about the fact that: ...there is no egg in eggplant or ham in hamburger. ...there is no apple or pine in pineapple. ...English muffins weren't invented in England. ...French fries weren't invented in France. ...sweetmeats are candies and not meat. ...sweetbreads are meats, but aren't sweet. ...quicksand can work slowly. ...boxing rings are square. ...a guinea pig is not from Guinea and is not a pig. ...writers write, but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce, and hammers don't ham. ...the plural of tooth is teeth, but the plural of booth isn't beeth. ...its one goose and 2 geese, but not one moose and 2 meese. ...you can make amends but not one amend. ...you comb through annals of history but never a single annal. ...teachers have taught, but preachers have never praught. ...we recite at a play and play at a recital. ...we park on driveways and drive on parkways. ...a house can burn up as it burns down. ...we fill in a form by filling it out. ...an alarm clock "goes off" by going on. ...the human race isn't a race at all. ...we wind up a watch to get it started, but when we wind up an essay, we end it. ...a wise man and a wise guy are opposites. ...overlook and oversee are opposites. ...quite a lot and quite a few are the same. ...vegetarians dine on vegetables, but humanitarians do not dine on humans. -
They say English is the hardest language to learn in the world. Of course, being a native speaker, you never really realize that but here are some examples of why people struggle to learn our language sometimes. For one thing, words aren't always pronounced the same, nor do they have the same meanings! Try these on for size! The bandage was wound around the wound. The farm was used to produce produce. The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. We must polish the Polish furniture. He could lead if he would get the lead out. The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert. Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum. When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes. I did not object to the object. The insurance was invalid for the invalid. There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row. They were too close to the door to close it. The buck does funny things when the does are present. A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line. To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. The wind was too strong to wind the sail. After a number of injections my jaw got number. Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear. I had to subject the subject to a series of tests. How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?

Why are there interstates in Hawaii? If toast always lands butter side down and a cat always lands on its feet, what happens when you strap a piece of toast to a cat and drop it? Have you ever heard someone say "That's the best thing since sliced bread"? Well, what was the best thing before sliced bread? Why is it called a TV "set" if there's only one? Why does your nose run and your feet smell? Why does "cleave" mean both split apart and stick together? Why is it whether you sit down or sit up, the results are the same? Why is it called a "building" when it's already built? Why do they call them "apartments" when they are all stuck together? How can you "draw a blank"? Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllable"? Why do 'tug' boats push their barges? Why are stadium seating areas called 'stands' when they're made for sitting? Why do 'slow down' and 'slow up' mean the same thing? Why is it when two planes almost collide it's called a 'near miss'. Shouldn't it be called a 'near hit'? Why do light switches say on/off? When it's on you can see it's on, when it's off you can't see it to read it. Why do 'fat chance' and 'slim chance' mean the same thing? Ever notice that PRICE and WORTH mean about the same thing, but priceless and worthless are opposites?

Be careful with the downloader as last time I used it, it was not up to date and it downloads the same corrupt files that you need to get rid of and does not download the latest updated maps. I have requested it be updated but I haven't heard anything regarding it yet

Janey I really don't know you yet as we move in different circles (read servers) but please let me say a couple of things to add to the great advice above. These situations are meant to test us. Like Bosun said, just the fact that you can recognize your plight is amazing. So many people who have gone through what you have gone through simply give up and fall into the abyss of despair. Trust me, the further you fall, the harder it is to climb out so you are off to a great start. I am not a believer in medication as I think sometimes it makes things worse, but that is my opinion, nothing more. I would suggest walking as an exercise option. The fresh air is wonderful and the light exercise makes all the difference. Try to walk away from civilization and be around peace and quiet. It helps you realize that no matter what happens life goes on. Like you say, you have kicked abuse's ass, handed cancer's to him on plate and beat down that bitch Katrina so in my book you are one tough lady. The job will come and when it does it will be the right one. Keep your chin up and remember your XI dysfunctional family is always here if you need to vent. Kick Ass Girl
