I just finished college so that means I am safe from that then now its just three years of university. Then again, our college is the equivallent to American Highschool, so I am not sure what our University level would be over there

Thanks I am not sure where to head after these first 3 years but I am sure that at the end of it, I want to carry on this further. I just finished college doing a very similar course and came out with high grades so I am sure I will so well at uni. After spending 2 years doing a computing course and then another 2 at the games development one, I have a pool of knowledge to take with me. My course is mainly the graphics side more than anything which is what I like so its something to really look forward to

Going to a uni just south of London in a county called Surry studying Games Development pretty much so I am carrying on my studies to make vidoe games and the like for 3 years. Its going to be fun but also a hard and worthwhile journey

The reason I am putting this here is because it does concern the CoD2 players more than the others so here goes: In a couple of weeks I will be starting university and my time to play will be severely limited because I will be moving out of home and to a residence on campus and I am not sure when I will be able to get the time to play with you idiots; it will most likely be my christmas break more than anything when I can get the time because I will be home then. Putting this up now so you get a heads up that I will be going soon and I haven't just disappeared from the face of the earth. This isn't me hanging up my tags or anything, just letting you all know what's hapening. I will still be on the servers every saturday and sunday from here till the 13th September (when I leave). I'll try my best to keep in touch with you guys through xfire. Those who don't have my xfire can ask

I came second in that one so its not all that bad Could have been worse, could have a score like Newfs for that one! I should have took a pic of that one where I bashed your ass quite a few times

This will make things interesting. I can see a couple of smaller maps ending up being knife only which might be interesting

So far so good on the servers, I was on yesterday and the only issue I had was Windows score was too good for him (I blame my ping for that) and that I had a couple of CI's. There were 2 occassions where my game crashed completely on me but that was down to my computer, not the server.

We all know that it seems to be me that makes bullet rage quit oh well

With the sitauation with this computer, being 9 years old now and a bit of a mess in terms of what is on there, I am quite happy with either wiping all the data and starting fresh BUT at the same time, I would also be much happier with a new computer. I also don't have any other copies of XP at home I also uninstalled and reinstalled CoD2 and it works just fine now. This computer always has something wrong with it but I am proud for keeping it going for this long.

For some reason, this AI stuff makes me think of a tv series, Battlestar Galactica. Us making machines, those machines rising against us and wiping us out. As humans learn from experience and mistakes, yes the AI will probably do that but what I see is that when we make these things, we ourselves are becoming less 'human' because there will a LOT less human interaction with things and we depend WAY too much on technology. I can imagine what this world would be like if we were thrown back into the stone age. People might actually start to socialise in the old fashioned way and realise that with the technology they depended so much on: Oh shit. What do I do now? I am so bored without technology I have no idea what to do. (Well that will be what I think might happen, some people wouldn't be affected so much because we have books!)

very very true, but usually I can tweak the display settings and it won't mess up the game at all but it did this time. So I am sticking with the default that my system gives it and not changing it

That was the first thing I done, it didn't work so what I had to do in the end was uninstall the game and then reinstall it. For now, It seems to be going okay but I am not too sure how long that will last

I am having a lot of issues with CoD2 in terms of DirectX. I was getting some visual lag in my game so I turned its resolution down from 1600x1200 to 1280x1024 which made DirectX have an unrecoverable error. Okay fine, I'll restart CoD2, crashed again. Safe Mode, crashed again. So as of right now I am unable to access CoD2 and with my PCs age and how much it has been used, it is having trouble knowing what is installed and what isn't so uninstalling my graphics card and reintstalling it doesn't do anything because even THAT fails to install correctly. So until I get this problem fixed, I won't be on the servers. It would be nice to have a new PC but I can't get one because I have no money AND no job and the spare one is out of the question because it has my dads back ups on there eventhough it hasn't been touched for well over a year now and talking to him about it is also out of the question lol. Any help would be appreciated with this issue! Thanks

I've been getting the allocation issue sometimes too which is a pain in the ass but it seems to be okay now
