If we posted our wins, I would only post the amount of bashes I get on Bullet or Win. It probably won't be much actually... shit.

When it is downloading the maps, I can't do anything with the game, not even press esc to get back to the main menu. The game doesn't respond when it's downloading things basically. Gotta go to the task manager to close it

It's most of the files when I have to download the new maps. They usually come in 2 or 3 files and it is the last one of the three. All I do to fix it is to close the game down, start it up again and then it is okay

I get this too so I know your pain there man. I got CoD4 a few days ago and had some real problems with it for the first couple of days but it seems to be okay now; still crashing for no reason though. I kept the resolution low as well and made sure I was running in compatibility mode for XP. The only real problem I have now is that sometimes the download speeds drop right down to 12Kb/s!

I asked for a couple more to be put in rotation a while back so it will be good to see one. I am not sure why bullet wants a sniper map. Maybe he likes getting his ass kicked

I am now getting random game crashes for no reason. I have looked online and people say it is the sound settings. I am not sure what is going on

Sorted that problem out and now I cannot find any servers for the game at all. It's the right version and also the PB has been updated too

Got the game from a friend for christmas and as soon as I start it up, it minimizes and every time I go back to it, it does it again. I have no idea why it is doing this and it is very annoying. Some help would be very welcome here!

So people are using a bit of kit to improve their game when they can just do what most others do and practice? I'm no admin so I can't have a say on whether or not this can hold people accountable as gaining an unfair advantage (when it will clearly be that they are when using this). I think its unfair on the other players that just want to enjoy playing the game and get good the best and harder way. Practice. Practice makes perfect. When that kit breaks, they're gunna be screwed anyways and be back to normal. The hardest thing for people on the servers is that they will not be able to tell if someone is using that kit or just good (or using an aimbot).

Is there anything else that can be done to try to get it to work? We have some temporary fixes but they don't work for some. It's quiet again now but I am sure it will pick up again

Its still a persisting issue. There is a sort of fix where rebooting the game might fix it but its only temp

I used to have a Creative HS800 Fatal1ty headset (or something very close), loved it so much but the only downside was that wearing it for too long hurt my ears a little (probably got big ears) and the one I have now is only a cheap one and you want to get something that is worth the money and not something that can break easily (like mine)

It's late for me when it kicks off but I will be in from 3pm (GMT) like I usually am for CoD2 on the weekend. I will see everyone there.

I can remember Killa from my days as a JR when me and old man noddy were on a lot. It would be nice to get some clips of us all in the memorial event and a good slideshow to commemorate it all for the 6th year

I will be in as soon as I can tomorrow. Lets make this one a good one. I said on the other thread on the CoD2 forum that what we should do is hold a minute silence for each fallen member; that is 4 minutes altogether and we can say our prayers for them and remember them. To me its respectful.

im up for this on CoD2. A good map will be Cheesy or some other small map that would be fun for knives

I managed to get it (just one .iwd issue) and helped Loader test the server a little. It's running smoothly with a fantastic mix of maps and modes for everyone and I am looking forward to the 20th to pay my respects to everyone fallen and to keep their memory alive. Personally I think we should hold a minutes silence in game for everyone fallen so we can pay our respects to them. Does anyone agree with this idea?
