You joined XI originally because you play Call of Duty, and found our servers, the mods we run and the folks playing on them, to your liking. Some players have come and gone but fundamentally, nothing there has changed. So what's "too political" mean? I can only assume you've got some problem with content on the XI web site. So what has that to do with the original reason you joined XI? If you don't like what you read on the XI web site, then change the channel. Don't get involved in the discussions; just play on the servers. That's why you came here in the first place, isn't it?

When you don't have any frickin' ears, it's a bit tougher to learn how to pronounce/spell.

Kkilll, please reconsider. We hate to see anyone leave XI, especially our European friends with whom we enjoy playing. There are a lot of folks here who have gamed with you and I'm sure would miss you and feel badly if you left us due to a hasty decision. What can we do to convince you to stay?

"Don't let the door hit you...?" Ignorant comments like this when someone leaves us only encourages more of the same. It demonstrates arrogance. Instead, let's ask folks to help us understand why they've made this decision, and how we might change their minds.

Good call Rugger!!!! We all regret folks we have known and played with joining another clan, but we take the high road when we leave our servers open to them. I hope members do not display any anomosity if former members show up on our servers wearing another clan's tags. We're bigger than that.

I use the Panther XL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panther_XL) which was developed about 13 years ago with an game controller interface to a sound card of the time. A group of users formed a clan around it (A3D) ( http://assassi.ning.com/) where I was known as A3DWizard in the old Quake, Duke3D and original Unreal Tourney FPS's and supported continued development of the device over the years. The trackball was modded and replaced by an upside down scanning mouse to convert that signal from analog to digital, and then we had a card engineered to convert both the trackball and joystock to USB. We use a keyboard emulator called XPadder such that the PXL now works with any FPS. It's great for folks like me who otherwise cannot game with a mouse. The joystick moves the player in the game and the trackball determines the direction of movement and shooting. The device has 11 keys on the joystick aspect and five more on the trackball side and these are bound through XPadder to corresponding keyboard keys. I have five PXLs (they do wear out; usually, I break the firing key) since eventually, support will go away and when that happens and I break them all, my gaming days will come to an end - I can't even imagine not engaging in my favorite sport.

Absolutely! Which prompts a suggestion that XI issue clan Medals of Honor to those members who go well beyond the "Call of Duty." And Phantom should be among the first recipients. If enacted, we could list our MOH winners somewhere on the site. ??

I use a combo trackball/joystick to play due to some nerve damage that otherwise would keep me out of the game. My settings blew up and I can't seem to find the keyboard key to bind to activate the UAV when you get that message in COD4 (same key that launches napalm, air strikes.) Which key is that? Thanks!!
