  1. Have a great birthday Johnny!!!
  2. An elderly man in Oklahoma calls his son in New York and says, "I hate to ruin your day son, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce. We've had 45 years of marriage and that's all the misery I can stand." "Dad, what are you talking about?" the son yells. "We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the old dad explained. "We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Miami and let her know too." Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like heck they're getting divorced," she shouts, "I'll take care of this." She calls her elderly father immediately, and screams at him, "You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, you hear me?" she yelled as she hung up the phone. The old man says "OK," hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "Well, it's all set. They're both coming for Christmas and paying their own air fare."

  7. Damn - just take us all out and really shoot us...
  8. It's a miracle!!!
  9. Toxoplasmosis in my left eye which I left untreated too long thinking it was just another explosion of floaters, has cut vision 50 percent; will know in a week how much is permanent. One-eyed Pete may be used to that but it's screwed my game the past month. Maybe I'll try cutting the resolution back.
  10. OMG!!!
  11. Thanks . I'll stick to Chrome.
  12. My motivation tends toward moving forward, improving and growing whatever I'm involved in; doubtless others have different motivations. And indeed, perhaps XI has reached optimum size in all respects; perhaps not - hence the discussion. Moderated interest areas and blogs do not require extensive technical support.
  13. Strange. Tried two different systems with same result. In attempting to post an image, the dialogue does now appear in IE11 to browse to the image.
  14. Unable to copy and paste, or to upload images using IE - works fine in Chrome. ??
  15. It's easy to be distracted when it comes to what may be perceived as an attack by government on what we consider our basic rights - contsitutional and otherwise. Most of us are patriots here - one of the reason I love this clan. The American flag has flown in front of my house since the day I bought my first one right after Vietnam and I am first in line to defend it and what it stands for. That said, I have no sympathy for folks who look for their 15 minutes of fame using patriotism as a tool. I'm talking about the seemingly unending stream of stories about this senior or that veteran or religious extremist being ordered by their homeowners association to remove religions icons and most often, American flags, from areas where they agreed in writing to not place them by buying property in such controlled environments. And certainly I have no sympathy for persons arrested waving flags (ANY flag) on a highway overpass - thank you, law enforcement for removing a threat to traffic safety. If your relative was killed by somebody who looked up to see that distraction, you'd be rightfully filing lawsuits.
  16. No doubt there's more activity in the XI member forums but things are somewhat flat over here in registered-user land. Other than well-wishes for various things or expressions of sympathy for folks having a tough time for various reasons, there's not a whole lot to talk about here. We have forums for hunting/fishing/shooting, auto repair, and computer help but that's it. Is anyone interested in additional forums that all users would have access to, i.e., hobbies, woodworking, arts/entertainment, health, food & drink, literature, travel/vacations, pets, sports, etc. and etc. Other ideas? Adding forums is relatively easy providing management agrees to do so, but there's no point in doing so if they aren't used. Perhaps launching one at a time with a moderator who has an intense interest in that particular topic to get things going? Of course, opinion is always a good conversation starter but that basically includes the two taboos: politics and religion - and they're taboo because they ALWAYS result in name-calling and personal damage. Is it possible though to discuss economics without politics rearing its ugly head? I don't think so but perhaps you have some thoughts on how such conservations could be controlled and held to focus? Another approach is to add blogs - again, subject to approval - by users expert in various topics and given the size of the membership, there's no doubt any number of folks who could add great content to attract and grow the user base. Just searching for ways to enliven the experience, and get more folks involved in the web site. Thoughts anyone???
  17. ...to bring balance and stability to our lives:
  18. In COD5 you will find this Quant dude; He often Quotes Harry though often more rude; He Quietly cuts off Harry's tiny balls; He Quickly takes credit soon as Harry falls. He calls himself QBall but what does that mean? We know he has balls but does Q stand for Queen? Or maybe he Quits when he sees he's ahead; Or could it be Quarrels when he finds himself dead. Perhaps it's a Quirk and his name should be Duck; We've not heard him Quack but perhaps that's bad luck. Or maybe he's Quietly stroking his wang. To Quell his strong urge for some unknown poontang. A Quote from his wife brings the truth to these hills; She looked under the Quilt and his nutsack has Quills; They're Quality balls and he uses them fine; But should Quickly change his name to Porcupine.
  19. Likewise fled Northern NY to get away from the horrible winters and for the most part in NE TN, we don't see a lot - that storm just missed us. But it's no fun when the power goes out. Thought about buying a generator but too expensive for the few times we lose power here. Our problem is Appalachian Power Co., which, instead of trimming trees to avoid this shit, waits for a storm to bring down the branches. Last time was three days in a hotel.
  20. I've had the Hanns-G 28" for a couple of years - great monitor. A larger monitor set at high resolution does make a difference in the game.
  21. For JohnnyDos
  22. This is good. Me kill you long time...
