I know how tough it can be. I was 5 years old when I finished half of my uncle's cig pack. I thought to myself, if only they made a cig that made you look cool like in the movies but without the tobacco. This smoking stuff is crap as I could not stop coughing for half an hour. I quit right there and then, cold turkey, no joke! I was way ahead of my time. To this day I have never touched a cig, well a few times to puff but that was it. I have been cig clean for 25 years, not to mention my mother gave me a good spanking after she found out. Ooooh maybe that's the secret, get spanked by your mother to quit smoking. BFBC2, BF3, BF4 all the same... they are only fun if you play with people you know. Otherwise, you might as well read poetry to strangers on the sidewalk. BF4 has Voice Chat support but only within the same Squad, not bad but squads are 5 members only. COD4 is far more fun as the FTAG mod forces the team work. If say BF4 was modd'able and we could do FTAG on it, that would be fantastic.

The thing about small companies is that they can stop a business unit faster than you finish reading the warranty label. OCZ ended their RAM business and I was in need of RMA for memory, but now they only do storage. So when I say long term support, I mean bigger company enlists confidence in their support service.

With Windows 8.1 he won't. It was a Windows XP thing. The new OS is smart enough to emulate IDE and not try to work it as one. I have an OCZ 128G for my Windows OS only and I had an issue where I had to put the BIOS in IDE mode to resolve a booting issue. @@ChknFngr or as I like to call him, ChickenFucker Samsung (from reviews) and OCZ (experience) have excellent Support & RMA policy. For longer term I would go with a Samsung. You mentioned you've a PCIe SSD from OCZ for the last 5 years? Did they make those back then? PCIe drives use the ample bandwidth of the PCIe bus, our GFX cards don't even max out the PCIe 2.0 specification yet. On another thought, for most performance uses a SATA-III SSD is more than enough. There is so much bandwidth available in current specifications that manufacturers feel no need to take advantage off due to the sheer lack of usage. The 4K Displays that are the new thing now, could have been here 4 years ago but the graphics hardware wasn't there to support it, graphics hardware saw no need to support higher resolutions because, there wasn't any content to take advantage of the processing power. It goes in circles...

Some unhelpful ideas: 1. Reboot your PC, keep trying until you get tired 2. Wipe your OS and re-install everything, if the problem persists, follow step 1 On another note: I have windows 8.1 too, occasionally I get the iw3mp.exe error it normally has to do with a new map being loaded or some rendering failure with a particular mod. There are many factors that contribute to this instability, sound card, gfx card, drivers, directx, overlay software (e.g. xfire). I did not have this issue on Windows 7 x64 if that informs you in any way. I have an ASUS P5 Q Deluxe with RealTek Audio that I used for the longest time before switching to Creative X-Fi Sound Blaster MB PCIe. Anyhoo, this game is old and directx 9 is becoming a legacy with time. At some point with newer OS this game will completely start breaking down.

No don't move the server back to NY just move the files from NY to PA. @@Sammy I believe this is the unbaked version of the same mod right? This has some of the bugs that you already resolved in the mod on the NY server. I like my new shiny low ping (80ms). My hit registration is better, I don't need my config tweaks anymore to assuage the lag effects. @@CobraBites you have a 60ms ping what the hell are you complaining about.... bad cobra bad, spank the cobra! On another note, I kinda liked that dot, for all weps that had little to no sway that dot was awesome. Keep that pointed to your target, doesn't matter how much you sway you get your hits. Especially, when you were defrosting. Bring the dot back, you can keep tthe rectangle. TROLL ALERT: You know what would be really great, if we move the server to Dallas, TX - better yet Silicon Valley !

Well, I know this is the previous version of the same mod we have been play in the NY server. This mod doesn't have some of the fixes that Sammy made to the NY server. I like this PA server for the following reasons: - Better latency for me from 108 ms [NY] down to 8 0 ms [PA] ( I am in California) - Hit registration for me is better, I can actually get credit for 1 shot kills, my KDR has been higher Don't like about this version of the mw2noacr - Body Armor aka Helmet - FUCK THIS SHIT, nade, car, tube and that fucking thing survives. 1 full clip from the M16 mother fucking bullshit. Actual headshots don't mean anything. For all who have lag issues, welcome to what we have suffered the past months. You guys enjoyed great latency to NY server and didn't have the issues that you do now. Well, moving the server, however temporary, relieved some of that for us west coasters. I did extensive optimizing of my COD config to work with the previous server. Roughly 75% better hit registration after making my optimization changes. This new server is even better. If anyone wants to try my config, PM me, it just might help you too.

You know we play these games and the realism excites us, but true reality is actually saddening. You see this sheer loss of life and ask yourself, for what? I am not a pacifist but when you think about all the effort that goes in to raising a human being life seems way to valuable.
