It's the motherboard that effectively gives you dual/tripple/quad channel access to memory effectively increasing ur memory bandwidth. You can have DDR2 in quad channel too if the motherboard supported it along with the processor. If it crashes in any game I suspect your GFX card or ur RAM instability. Make sure the correct voltage for the RAM is set in the BIOS. multi-channel configuration stresses your Memory Controller a lot.

That sounds like a memory error. BF series hogs memory VRAM and also system RAM. Generally gfx card crash gives u a BSOD. Sounds like a tedious debug.

By the way Benrith, do you get the same crash consistently now? Or is it still random messages?

I have bad lag on this server makes the difference in shooting once and having to do it three times. My lagometer shows those nice red spikes all too often. Then there are the free CIs that find you mostly at in-opportune times. I know I am the minority here but that temp server in PA or wherever it was, was the best for me.

I think you misunderstood, what I rarely do doesnt last more than a minute as the suspense dies out pretty quickly. No I did not use a clan member name. Cute|Boobies was in the opposite team and that too was momentary. logically speaking what if there are two different players with the same nickname. I dont mean clan members i mean guest players on our servers. What rules apply then?

Windows creates a dump file by default. I wouldn't bother with using WinDBG to figure out which hardware it falsely points to this time. Once you've your new gear in, try that and let's see how things work out from there.

Some times when I sneak behind an enemy spawn and kill a few people I quickly change my name to "Everyone" or "Everybody". It's hilarious to hear people say "boom boom is here", "no its everyone", "guys everyone is in our spawn". This amuses me, aaah the little pleasures of life. Other times I change my name to another non-XI player's nickname so it confuses the heck out of the other team. I changed it to Cute|boobies once and I went radio silent. It was just funny to hear all confused people. Screwing with people's minds so much fun .

I tried, figuring out the settings was not intuitive, I have the attention span of a 3 year old. I moved on to AMD Gaming Evolved - Raptr which takes no hit on my FPS. The only caveat being that it works half the way. The quality is much better too.

If only XFire wouldn't crash on map loads, I would record my games. It just doesn't work right. I tried the AMD gaming Evolved but that crap isn't baked yet.

You're right moonpie, that's very true about the people turning off smoke and trees but its hard to prove. Without proof it is all but an educated speculation. If anyone has any ideas how to figure this out let me know, I will give it a try. I don't mind getting kicked by PunkBuster for a good cause as long as it's not a permban. The ARTIC had quad rails, a single rail is much better for load distribution than a multi rail. A high performance single rail has more stability than a multi rail.

If you still have a choice to cancel the order I highly recommend you get the CORSAIR. It's a trust worthy brand, cheap PSUs come at a price and lose efficiency much faster than quality PSUs. 60G is plenty but you may run out sooner than say 100GB. I have a 120GB SSD that I use as my boot OS for Windows 8.1. I have 65.6 GB free after 1 month of installations.
