The heartbeat code was originally written by a German volunteer. The code was written as an improvement to openssl and submitted to one of the core guys, one of a small handful of volunteers, who look after the openssl releases. Well, these guys also reviewed the code and what we know as an error now, was overlooked. The new code was subsequently added to the release and the rest is today's news. Just goes to show, even the most diligent programmers can miss something unfortunately this little error caused a huge hole in the software. Even more, this 'bug' has been around for a couple of years already when the version of openssl was released with this heartbeat code.

Yes, interesting. Read some stuff on the bug a little while ago. Same deal, all about the memory dump during the heartbeat request. Pretty crafty to pick up on that and be able to exploit it.

Crazy. Was 17°C yesterday afternoon and then woke up to an inch of snow and it carried on through the day. Just messed up.

First off, if you don't want to buy a new PC, you may want to stop kicking the crap out of it. Not to laugh but we all know how frustrating PCs can be when they don't work right. They're wonderful when they do and suck when they don't. Anyway, have you checked the power connectors to your drives or even the PSU itself. No power, no OS... Just strange that it's not detecting either drive.

It is a great server and is very popular. Always a good time even when you are getting your ass shot off. Cheers

LMAO +1 HAHA But seriously, it's just part of the game like camping, sniping, and going down on someones ice cube if you're into that sort of thing. It's done because you can. Hell, I don't like it, it's even frustrating at times (cause I can't hop high enough lol jk...). Just have to learn who the hoppers are and aim higher. Either way, while you're beating your keyboard into a pulp, just remember it's a game and try to enjoy it for what it is. It'll be more enjoyable that way. See you on the battlefield cruz. Cheers

Remember, it's just a game and sometimes part of the enjoyment is a little chat so try not to get to offensive of him. I've been in game with White Dragon quite frequently and he's usually not too bad as some so maybe he was having a good night. Either way, sometimes you just have to mute a person if they chat too much for your liking. Take care and continue to have fun on the server.
