    Just because of the OS and Windows 10 is much better that 8.... but I would like the touch screen option on a laptop. At times it makes it easy to just touch the screen. And the screen seems to be higher quality glass rather plastic for finger print reasons. They feel like touching a cell phone of these days. Just my opinion.. as for Gaming... not needed.. or would it?

    Yea.... I drove 30 miles each direction to get there and they said no way. I got a plan. I am going rig the USB cable to needles. Then used them as probes as see if can make a connection. I too hard headed to give up.

    yea but I would need to do a continuity test to verify each run as it goes under the memory chip so you can't see where it goes. Them two skinny lines in the middle... them are the two connection that go under the memory chip. I found a place local that is willing to look at is and see if they can find solder points to connect to. They have repair before but some are harder than others. I'll let you know the results.

    i you hit the fn key and the F1 to F12 to make the picture go out the HDMI cable. You can do it in the Screen resolution (right click on desktop) as well.

    It is USB 2.0 the easy one. I have a USB cable stripped and ready to solder on the board. In the picture the two center conductors are the problem. The PCB was ripped off leaving no conductor to connect. The solder point needs to be attached on the other side of he PCB in two locations. The other two outer connectors can be solder back easy.
