And on both.. have you upgraded the firmware? Seems every router I setup for someone I have to upgrade the firmware first otherwise all kinds of problems popup.

Unless they are the same model you might have a problem calling your router the same SSID as your main one in AP mode. Do you turn off DHCP so only your main router hands them out. Did you give your router a static IP of your current network ip range. IN AP mode their should be no NAT or Firewall going on. If you have a problem doing all that you can just plug your lan side of the router into your lan side of your network of the router and turn off DHCP so whatever attaches via wifi gets a address from your main router not your AP and just have your SSIS a different name as your other one. You can hook up normal wan port to your lan but devices south of that router will not see your devices on that side.. hence you trying to set in Access Point mode. Not sure what model you have.. never seen one. You may have to take screen shots of the setup screens or find a video that has them.

Why would you get a 1060 over a 970 or 980? Not saying get the 1080 but minimum I would get is the 1070 or a 980.
