  1. I've been with my Mrs 9 yrs this year. Usually housework is the annoyance between us. Especially with 2 kids. What I can suggest is that you alternate chores weekly, and once or twice a month you do her portion as well. For example if one of you washes the dishes and the other dries and puts them away...then you do that whole portion. Or maybe even do the laundry one day. It pretty much stopped nagging here, because as a mum she does a lot anyway. Plus it makes her feel more appreciated which may manifest in a reward for you in other ways. My issue is that when I tidy up I'm a clean freak so I'll make an area spotless (wash, clean, wipe, dust, vacuum and such) and I get annoyed when it gets messy so I nag[emoji38] Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

  5. I've been on the US XI server for about 45 mins compared to my 130 odd hrs on the EU server. That 45 mins was me on around midnight my time (UK) to try and help populate it a bit. If it was full during the times I played I'd absolutely join in, but that won't happen because of work, home life etc. Sent from my E6653 using Tapatalk

  7. Welcome simo... I think you have an asthmatic duck, not a cat or pigeon
  8. I worked for a bank in Canary Wharf (heart of London), and in terms of physical servers there were maybe 60 or 70 that I had direct control over. All the servers were moved on to virtual machines. Each server had 192GB RAM and dual hex core CPU. Each Vm had 32GB ram and 2 cores dedicated to it. 5 VMs to a server. And there were plenty of backups and redundant servers also (LDAP replication, exchange servers in a DAG etc). Was a nightmare to migrate everything though, took the better part of a year to go from all physical to mostly virtual. Outside of what I managed the people that dealt with stocks, shares and bonds had their own infrastructure...never dared touch those because even a few M/S latency meant a different price for buying and selling which could be several millions of £ in business. As for scripts, most of what I wrote was for backups, replication and such like to automate most of the processes.
  9. Generally it will be for networking issues. The last place I worked had around 50 Linux servers (running a combination of SCO Unix, and Redhat Linux) and 200 windows servers all running Windows server 2008 R2. Sample bash script below Windows script SET /A varInteger=0123456789 echo The value of varInteger is %varInteger% Linux script varInteger=0123456789 echo "The value of varInteger is $varInteger" There really isn't much difference, it's just a case of remembering which is which. That's why I write one first and then rewrite for the other.
  10. I use debian for creating bash scripts and testing them. I do use Windows too, but I will create the bash script for Linux first and then make a windows version, or include a windows version directly in the script so that it becomes universal. For gaming though, WINE may be helpful, but directx will be the killer here. Don't use it if you plan on gaming with new games
  11. Oh Lord...good luck! Lol

  18. I'm up for doing that later Steph if it won't take too long?
  19. The only time an admin has ever kicked somebody for me was when I was 11th in queue and the round had recently started. That's it. Since then, I got told it was a one off and I've waited. If I am waiting, I'll stay in teamspeak and Potter around doing something else until I get in. Just gotta suck it up.
  20. Explosions? Err....hmm...perhaps I need to think long and hard before going down this route.
  21. Well I have seen home brew beers and loved them, and wines are not my drink of choice. Thanks for the advice regarding the methanol however. Good to know.
  22. This is prevalent on the mobile version of the site but it is really slow. Taking up to 5 seconds to load a page and if there are images even longer. I would have out it down to my connection, but I jumped on reddit to a sub loaded with pics and got a quick response time (maybe 0.8 seconds?). As a double check, I restarted my router and my phone, closed all apps, disabled and re enabled WiFi etc, and still slow.
  23. It got stuck at rank 17 even before the name change which took place around rank 35 or so? In any case you're right about the name change and having to refresh.
  24. Thing is trapping is more efficient and I don't have to wait for hours, I can set the trap, go for a walk, come back and hopefully have some to take home.
